I joined and started the Weight Watchers plan 4 days ago and felt great until today. I feel sooo hungry and I only have a few points left for today. Could you please tell me how you made it through these times and any advice on how the plan worked best for you.
Thank you.

Usually when I have very hungry days it's because I haven't had enough protein. Try snacking on veggies, fruit, or some nuts. Remember if you go a bit over today try to go a bit under or do a little extra exercise to make up for it.

A friend of mine in the office is a big fan of Hungry Girl. There are some great suggestions and recipes for how to make lower calorie/point versions of stuff you love.

The idea of weight watchers is to not make you hungry but satisfied. Rethink your meal sizes and frequency.

Fruit and veggies are definitely the way to go. They are almost always zero points, so you can eat as many as you want and fill yourself up. Congrats and keep up the good work!

To avoid this in the future, be sure you are getting enough protein! That will keep you satisfied.

The first week can be tough because your body is adjusting to the change in calories. However, as someone else wrote, ENJOY as many veggies and fruits as you want. It's great fiber so it will fill you up and it's great for you! Also, make sure if you are working out, that you are getting enough points. You do earn extra points when you exercise. Enjoy the program! It's a great way to get healthy!

What I did on WW when I was hungry but had not many points was to make a big stir fry of veggies that I like (broccoli, mushrooms, zuchini, green beans, cabbage, etc.) and then throw in a couple of low-points things like shrimp and hominey, and a bunch of good spices and some soy sauce. Something like this you can eat a lot of for few points, and it fills you up. I also second what people said about protein-try a hard boiled egg.

Something that helped me on the plan was that Friday nights and Saturdays I did not count points. I weighed in on Friday mornings, and then I took a break from counting points. I didn't go "crazy" on those days but I just took a break. I'm sure this is not "recommended," but for me it helped keep me sane, and I was still able to reach my goal weight and keep it off.
Good luck-you can do it! :)

Veggies and fruits are points free - so try some of them. Start downing the water - that helps. You have those weekly floater points, too. ;-)

You can do it! I lost 18 pounds - my goal - on Weight Watchers. I promised myself that I would do the plan exactly for the first month - no cheating and the first week was the hardest.

I was so hungry and sad I wanted to quit. After a week - it was fine. I wasnt hungry at all.

Stop reading this and go drink a big glass of water and then eat a piece of fruit.

Fill up on veggies. I SO love roasted vegatables. My favorite were the butternut squash fries. Cut up the squash in fry shapes, sprinkle with chili powder and salt, spray a little oil and roast at 400 for @ 20 minutes. Yummy! I may make those tonight!

Eat something protein rich for breakfast - like an egg and try to avoid the carbs (like toast or cereal). I used to eat an egg and a piece of turkey bacon. Have a little snack mid morning.

Whatever you do - dont cheat now. Make sure you are counting points and making good choices for how you use them.

You can do it and you will be so happy and proud of yourself!

I just bought the WW smoked cheese sticks yesterday. They are one point each and are very yummy. I agree with the others- you need more protein or need to balance your meals.

Good luck- don't give up! Keep us posted on your progress!

You shouldn't go hungry on WW. If you are, you are using up too many points early in the day. Aim for high-protein meals and snacks, which will keep you satisfied. When I was on WW, I loved having veggies with hummus, yogurt, string cheese and celery with peanut butter as snacks. I still enjoy those now. Also, load up on the fruits and veggies with your meals to help you feel fuller. I made sure to have a salad with dressing spritzer with both lunch and dinner. It really makes a difference.

One of my favorite meals that I have at least once a day is a salad with mixed greens, carrots, celery, tomato, black beans(or chicken breast), and sunflower seeds (all natural kind) topped with a peach mango chipotle salsa. All the greens and protein fill me up and the salsa is a healthy fat-free dressing. If I feel like I need something sweet or crunchy afterward, I'll eat an apple.

I don't do WW but I eat one of the many versions of "Texas Caviar." I make the vinegar version.

I get so full on the stuff and I don't really like peppers! There is a million variations of this so do a Goggle search and find one that looks good to you.

I know a lot of people on Weight Watcher's, but I have to admit that I don't really understand the point thing.

Aren't there things you can eat that are freebies like celery, cucumber, carrots?
Just wondering.

Good luck.
