Working from home..where to Start?

I just went back to work full time after a year of staying home. I teach preschool so it is nice having my daughter right down the hall from me, but I miss seeing her during the day. I would like to work part time at the preschool and part time with a work from home job (I need full time income). In the same respect I DO NOT want to get caught up in a scheme or anything like that where I have to pay first..so on and so forth. So my question is, are there other mothers out there who work from home legitimately and where did you start. It would be great to have some sort of office job from home or somewhere in that range of jobs. Any input would be greatly appreciated. You can send me an email if you need to as well. Thanks so much!

Hi K.,
I work from home and love it. I have 2 little ones and wanted to be home with them more than anything but also needed the income I got working full time. When I started looking I knew that I did not want to get into anything where you had to sell stuff or do parties, who has time for that? I would love to share more information with you, please visit my website http://www.themomteam.com/pamrose and request more information.

The name of my Company is Freedom to Educate. I am a mother of three children and I am a Medical Social Worker/Daycare owner. I have seen how expensive healthcare has become.

I work from home in the evenings for Ameriplan USA. They are a healthcare company that offer medical and dental benefits.

I am in need of reps that can promote to families thst healthcare can not burn a hole in your pocket. The plans start as low as $19.95 up to $59.95 a month for the whole family.

If you are a self starter, motivated individual and can work on the computer please call me. I will train you and offer a great income. I promise you can make anywhere from 500 to $1000 your first month. I did.

PLease visit my website at www.mybenefitsplus.com/40527930 or call me for an interview

HI K.!

I just got a part-time job at Alpine Access (www.alpineaccess.com). My hours are Sun-Thurs 8PM-2AM. They do have other hours, but those are the best for my family. They do customer sevice for a bunch of companies. Not sure exactly what you are looking for, but this lets me make some extra money. Good luck!

K.,
Start with where you work.... I work from home, I used to work at the office, but I made a pitch to bring my job to a home-office. Not all jobs can be done from home.

A friend of mine just gave the same pitch. She works for a different company. They went for it and she works 3 days home and 2 days in the office.

You have to have a well thought out plan, in writing, that your boss can read at a glance.

The bad part about asking is 1. they can say "no" and 2. they'll know you want to work from home and that you may quit. So don't present a plan till you're ready. They could even fire you. This is an at-will state, and they can terminate you for no reason. So you have to be ready to accept the consequences.

Don't forget your plan should show the PROS for you company.

Other than that, the sales companies are not bad. I sell Beauticontrol to my friends (I don't venture out and I only sell it because I use it too and get the discount, so why not sell it those who want it?) It's not hard to make a little money. But if you want to make a lot of money, then you'd have to do sales big-time and get out of the house. I would think it would be the same with any sales job.

Good luck!
