I'm looking for somehing to do from home myself, let me know anything that you find that actually is working out...
I've been working full-time as a dental hygienist for about 11 years now. I love my career but I am missing being able to do more things with my 2 sons (4 and 9). I would like to work still as a dental hygienist for 2 days a week and find another job where I can work from home. Do any of you work yourself or know someone who works from home doing medical claims & billing, medical coding, or medical transcription? What is involved as far as education or training and income? Thanks,K.

Hi K.,
I have a friend who went through 2 years of schooling. I have another friend who has been doing the billing thing for several years. She only got the job because a friend passed it down to her. she said they are pretty hard to come by. But if that is the route you want to go if you are dilligent I am sure you can make it work. Personally I prefer to work for myself. there are 175,000 people a week getting involved in a home business of some sort so that they can leverage their time so that they don't have to choose between work and family.
You do have to keep in mind that there is a learning curve with anything we do. so if you are needing money right away to supplement then going to school for 2 years may not be the answer. I chose Vitamark because I saw success immediately and the on the job training allowed me to earn as I learned. The weekly checks have been a blessing! And of course with my personality I love the recognition that success brings! I hope you find something soon. I know it must be hard watching your babies grow up when you are at work! Feel free to give me a call

K. I noticed that you got many responses. Here is what to look for in a business IF that is what you are looking into. A company has to have 5 critical elements to insure success for their distributor. The five elements are TIMING, SOLID CORPORATE INFRASTRUCTURE, A QUALITY PRODUCT OR SERVICE, A LUCRATIVE COMPENSATION PLAN, AND AN EFFECTIVE TRAINING SYTEM!
Mellaluca, AmeriPlan, Mary Kay, Tupperware and many many others are missing all or most of these critical elements. And if a company is publicly traded you can kiss your paychecks goodbye. Because the best interest of the affiliates is no longer a priority it is in the best interest of the share holders. Alot of these people involved in these companies are lied to by the people who got them involved and/or the person that got them involved didn't know any better. Be careful and do your research. The girl who was so upset with mellaluca did NOT do her research and got burned. keep in mind there are some excellent companies out there. Unfortunately you have to sift through the bad to get to the good. If you make sure they have all the 5 critical elements in place you should have great success. Vitamark is a 5 Pillar company this is why I chose it. Vitamark may not be your cup of tea and that is OK there is something out there for everyone.
Good luck!
Hello, I was just wondering if you had found anyhting yet? I am a nurse looking for the same type of Job. Please let me know thanks ,

Hi K.,
What are you looking for in a business? As a dental hygienist you must like helping people, I use to work in a dental office as an assistant. Do you like the idea of owning your own business for yourself, but not by yourself? My business offers market driven products and services where one can successfully and realistically build a financial future. I have 3 kids and have been working from home for almost 4 years and I love it. Visit my webportal www.marketamerica.com/2bewell
If you have any questions or want more information, let me know! thanks!
Hello K.,
I certainly can understand your desire to be home more with your kids. I have 3 boys ages 13,11,and 6. I previously worked as a Social Worker, and was able to build my own business and leave my full time job 10 years ago.
I am an Executive Director with Tupperware. Although it may not be in your direct field, it is a great opportunity to build a business around your schedule. The core of our business is in home parties, but we also have a fabulous Fundraiser program, website sales, and you can build a business with basic customer sales as well.
The income is great for the time you spend. Tupperware offers wonderful incentives, and even a trip to Disney for a family of 4, all expenses paid.
I would love to share more with you. Please visit my website at My2.Tupperware.com/magnificent or give me a call at ###-###-####.
I hope to hear from you.

I am looking for something to do from home as well. I would love to hear if you find something. So good luck on your search.
Hi K.,
My name is S. and I started working from home seven months ago. I love it. I have two boys who are 3 and 5. I was getting so tired of missing out on all the important things in their life while they stayed with some one else during the day. I decide to go into business for myself, even with my college degree. I started selling May Kay and would love to share this opportunity with you if you are interested. Just send me an email and we can go from there.
____@____.com hope to hear from you soon!!
K. -
I work from home and LOVE it! I'd prefer not to work at all, but this is the next best thing. I, however, work in the IT industry where it's incredibly easy to work from anywhere.
I have heard there is a STRONG demand for medical billing, etc. If you do some research, I bet you could find a dental office looking for someone to do claims. Remember, you'll be working from home, so you don't have to look for just in just the Kansas City area. You can look all over the US. Craig's List and careerbuilder.com is a great start. Good luck! You'll never regret spending more time with your kiddos!
I myself would like to be able to work from home, in addition to what I do now, I drive a school bus,and I have 3 kids who are all school, one in high school and 2 in grade school.
Wow. K., I have to respond to Darlene who must have been burned badly by somebody in the MOM team. I use Melaleuca products for my home, but fount that as a business it did not work for me. Although not technically an MLM, it is very close. Also, although you don't have to stock the products, you do have to be able to sell people on the product merit.
I love the product for my home. Melaleuca has a great Better Business Bureau rating and is founded by a man (Frank Vandersloot) who really wants to help the average person be financially stable.
Like I said, I don't do the business, but I use the products and find them fabulous. I don't have a work from home solution yet. I'm still trying to find my own as well. Let me know if you find something that really works!!
I sell Home & Garden Party which is wonderful for any mom, when you want time with the kids and you can set your own schedule it is great. If you are interested in more information please contact me at ____@____.com or ###-###-####. Also this link will take you to the company website: http://www.HomeandGardenParty.com/Home?WebId=lindashgp
Advantages: Small startup cost, NO Delivery, NO inventory, 30% to 40% commission plus bonuses!
Many mom's have found this to be a great opportunity to be home and still make a wonderful income.
Again, please feel free to contact me at your convenience.

Just wondering if you have written off direct sales. I know you have gotten other responses. I just thought I'd throw the idea out to you. Have you heard of Wildtree yet? There is a little video about 3-4 minutes long that tells about the company. I have 6 kids and I'm home with my little ones ages almost 1 and 3 all day, while my other 4 are in school.
I like the fact that I leave about 2-3 nights a week for 3-4 hours and it's very rewarding and you can make money. Let me know if you would like any other information. My website is http://sbarnum.mywildtree.com
good luck with your search. S. B.
I would love to help you get started working from home! Please e-mail me at: www.stayinhomeandlovinit.com/amyfish. I look forward to seeing how I can help you make real money with a legitimate BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU COMPANY today!
I would love to talk to you about my home business!!
Here's an easy one with no start up costs, www.mypowermall.com/biz/home/114024, it's a new way to make money on the internet. I think this is something that will be perfect for you.
K.,
I would recommend checking out any business through the Better Business Bureau www.bbb.org to ensure its legity before you send any money.
If you're interested in a home-based business, then I urge you to look into Work At Home United. Join a team of successful and supportive women doing a unique business using the internet. Turn a monthly expense into a long term monthly income and have a safer home. It is fun and friendly. No sales, no retail, no inventory. I know it sounds too good to be true, but this is an amazing opportunity. And I will say that this related to Melaleuca, which is a truly amazing product. I read the email from Darlene below, and there are more positives than negatives about Melaleuca. I do not work for the MOM Team, of which I saw MANY negative comments about on the internet...including Darlen's post. I work for Work At Home United...I urge you to check them out on the internet, they are truly a unique and amazing organization.
I would love to tell you more about this wonderful opportunity. Please goto my website at www.workathomeunited.com/coribarry or email me your telephone # at ____@____.com and I will get in touch with you.
Thanks,
C. Barry

Hi K.! I went to school in Missouri for Medical Coding and Billing, but was unable to find anything to do from home. I kept running into problems because I hadn't worked in an office for a certain number of years. That seems to be the only way that I could work from home doing Coding. I graduated school 4 months before my little one was born and wanted to be a stay at home mom more than anything. I recently found a company that I think would be a great fit for you. They have been for me. Check out my website at http://strong4life.fourpointmoms.com
They were designed specifically for moms. Good luck and feel free to contact me at any time!

Hey K.! You sound a lot like me. I am a Registered Dietitian and love it but also hate leaving my kids. I have 2 boys ages 4 and 6 and then just had my little girl 8 months ago. When I found out I was pregnant I began my lengthy search for true, legitimate work that I could do from home. I finally found a great company that I've been with for over 1 1/2 years. I have to say that I have had a great experience... no surprises! I am making money AND... I get to stay home now. I love it! Email me and we can talk more: ____@____.com
I currently work from home part time but its more of an online business then a job. But its Legit, No selling, No pressure. Here is the website www.AchievingBigDreams.com. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.
K.,
My name is J. and I live in Missouri. I seen that you were looking to work at home, I am not for sure if you are really wanting to just stick with doing medical claims, or if you would like to venture into Direct Sales. I work full time and am a part time Home Interiors Consultant. The money I make from HI is extra cash for me. You decide when and how much you want to work, so if you have something going on with your kids you don't have to worry about asking off.
If you would like more information on Home Interiors, feel free to email me at ____@____.com
I would be more than happy to help.

Hi K.!
I saw your post about working from home and thought I would send a note your way. Although I don't have any experience or information on medical billing or claims, I thought my company might be up your alley in the healthcare field. I am an independent broker for AmeriPlan, the largest discount healthcare provider in the nation. We are a 15-year-old company and currently have over 1.7 million members using our plans. Our plans are accepted at all major pharmacies and vision centers across the nation. As a broker for AmeriPlan, we receive free benefits, daily pay and free online training. All of this can be done from home ~ all you need is a computer and a phone. There is no telemarketing and no cold calling. We are not high-pressured sales people! And the best part is that you are your OWN boss. You make your own hours, your own schedule. This is not a J-O-B, but rather a business of your own! We have thousands of testimonials from ordinary people just like you and me that have found great success with AmeriPlan. You can make some part-time cash or a full-time income…totally up to you! In fact, most of our brokers are stay-at-home moms like yourself.
If you would like more information you can call me at ###-###-#### or go to: www.freedomathometeam.com/40550162 and click on “Request for Interview”. I would love to help you work at home too and would be here every step of the way to help you achieve your goals!!
