It is doable, and will also be challenging. It is so great that you have this opportunity! I too work from home, most days it works well, some days are hard, they all are different.
You need to be realistic, but have goals and hold yourself accountable. Nursing will make everyting easier for sure.
If your husband will be around this will be even easier ( I did it with very little help from mine) But do not expect your baby to always be happy with him even if he is home, baby may want you only and that is ok. I can type and fax and send email and make phone calls.
I also managed to do client consults and go to trainings and prospect with a new born. The real challenge is with the older kids and with my little girl now that she is 2.
If you just need to talk to some one or need ideas as you get started, please email me. My assistant and I work every day pretty much with our kids on our laps and in the house with us as we work. We have made it work and so can you!
In fact we are looking for another mother in your situation who would like to work from home too, as we will be needing another staff member soon. Please email us for support, but also if you have a friend who may not yet have found a way to work from home, but wants to be with baby.
