Google Apex work from home. They contract out for customer serv reps for companies like sprint, etc. My niece did this for about 6 mths from home and you have the opportunity to work part time or full time for very legit companies.
Okay moms, right now I am a single mom who works full time. I absolutly hate that I am away from the kids so much. So my question is does anyone know of any good reliable stay at home jobs? I don't have a carreer that I can just transition into my own business like photography or writting or anything like that, that is not what I am after. I have heard alot about medical transcription or somethign like that. I know somethings a long those lines require training ad I would be glad to do it, but with all the scams out there, I want to start in the right place. So does anyone know of reliable companies that would hire a stay at home mom to work from home?

I work in advertising and have worked with a lot of women working from home in a lot of different businesses. It's true that there are a lot of scams out there- BUT- I also have had clients who are making seriously, more money than I make at my regular job each month!
The thing is, no matter what you ultimately decide to do, you MUST WORK YOUR BUSINESS. You need an 'office' at home, even if it is just one end of the kitchen table or a little desk in your bedroom- you need an area dedicated to your 'job' at home. You need to have a phone number with a professional message, keep track of everything... some people who have worked in office jobs are used to having those things done for them- in a HBB, its all you!
You need to treat it just like a regular job- not 9-5 (otherwise what would be the point?) but while setting up your own schedule to be flexible and fit what your family needs, you really need to focus on what number of hours per week you must work your business and then DO IT- even if it means working in the morning one day, evening the next etc. The effort is what matters, not so much WHEN you do it.
I have to say that in my experience, if you are looking for a company that comes with a support system, etc, already set up and if you want to sell a PRODUCT, then Mary Kay Consmetics is one of the best HBBs out there, and certainly pays the highest rate of commission of any of them (50%) . Like any HBB, it requires an initial investment, and if you don't pay back your initial investment and actually SELL what you've bought, then you can get yourself into trouble. But- they do also seem to have an excellent mentoring system in place and a real schedule/strategy to help you with your debt-profit ratio, etc. Their support and ordering/scheduling system is excellent.
But they are only one of many options and might not be right for you. Do you have an outgoing 'sales' type mentality? If you don't, don't get into a direct sales company!
I think so many women FAIL at HBBs because they choose the wrong thing, or just don't treat it like a real job. If you're more comfortable not interacting with people as much and are a fast typist, then data entry might be great for you. Really think about your strengths and weaknesses and go to some parties for different HBBs and ask about their information- they will be GLAD to share it with you. But make an informed and realistic decision and I bet you can do this! Good Luck- I want to be at home with my son too, so I know how you feel :)
I currently work full time but recently started working from home as well. My goal is to be at home w/ my daughter (which I know will not happen over night) so I am building my at home business. I know it is doable because I have associates that have done just that and replaced both their and their spouses previous full-time incomes. If you would like to know more about it...no obligation - just free information...please let me know.
Best of luck to you.
Could you build your business while your working? Would you like to save on gas while you are building your business & going to work? How is that possible? www.fuelmileageplus.com feel free to contact me.
A LOT of things out there are scams. Many require you to sign up, recruit, sell, invest. Just be very careful. I don't know of anyone truly making a living on these types of "jobs". Most of the time it is just another source of income to supplement the income.
Working from home is a job and some companies require a dedicated phone line, specific hours, etc. You can't be a rep on the phone for a company with little ones in the background noise.
We run our company from home and it takes a lot of self discipline. As for us, we can't make mistakes or we could lose thousands of dollars so staying focused is crucial. Also, if out internet goes down, like it did for 3 days last week, we lose money. We had to leave home to go to a secure wifi site to work.
All that said..... there are opportunities. I don't know the ages of your children. Babysitting is an option, many people need before and after school care and transportation. If your children are in a moms day out program, many of those programs hire moms and you can work while they are in school. Same goes for teaching. If you are not certified to teach, you can be a teaching assistant and still have same hours as your children.
Be wary of offers that sound too good to be true. I hope you find something that works for you.
