Quick Shine. You fix the solution and wipe it on/in with a towel and let it dry. Two coats is good, second after the first dries. Get some knee pads, but it's worth it.
my wood floors are dull and the mop solution i bought made it foggy looking. i tried spraying pledge and swiffering and now we bust our butt every time we walk through (even barefoot) what is a good wood floor cleaner (if there is one you dont have to put on and then mop with water and then dry)
Thank you, and last night when I got home from work I looked what I had and it was murphys hard wood cleaner (or something like that) I will try a couple of these (next time I mop!)Now that my baby girl is crawling and teething I have to mop often or I have hand prints everywhere!! Thank you for the info on where to buy the things too

Have you tried Bruce or Pledge Hardwood Floor Cleaner (not the spray)? You can find it at Home Depot or Lowes, possibly Wal-Mart...not sure though. You also need to invest in a large square mop (very wide) meant for cleaning wood floors. Most of them have a cloth that attaches to the bottom, sort of like a Swiffer, but much better. It is removeable and washable! You should not be using water on your floors, as it will dull the finish and cause the floors to warp and buckle.
We have had our wood floors for seven years now and this is what we have found to work the best for us.
Good Luck!

Your best bet would be plain Windex- Works like a charm. Spray it on and swiffer it off.
my soon-to-be in laws recently installed wooden floors in their home. She cleans them with windex...just sprays it on and wipes it with a mop.
Hi S.!
My husband is a contractor that knows a lot about everything contracting, especially wood floors. His favorite is Bruce which you can find a complete kit at Home Depot for about $15. You just spray in on and then dry it with the included terry cloth covered dust mop. We use it on our laminates (it is made for all wood and laminate floors) and it works fantastic. After you use this it should help alleviate the slickness on your floors. I hope this helps.

I use the Orange glow system. First you mop and dry then you put on the sealant to make it shine without slipping! It works great on polyurethane sealed floors. If you have waxed floors ( seen alot in older homes that have not been refinished) use Murphy's oil soap.
try the home depot brand called ZEP. You spray from a bottle and mop. It is great and super cheap!
I use the Bona system from Ace Hardware. I've used it for 4 years. It was recommended to me by the guy who installed my floors.

We have wood floors also and I use Swifter Wet Jet with the hardwood cleaner they sell for it and it works great...
I promote a company that have natural cleaning products that works better that any other product.
