If you have a cyst or an infection that side will be more tender. I suggest you make an appointment with your gynecologist just to be sure that you are OK.

Yes,

I had that and alot of pain-- do you have pain? I ended up having a cyst burst in my ovary.

Hope you feel better-- I would get checked out to be on the safe side.

I would make an appt with your GYN to make sure you don't have a cyst on your ovary. I have had several, and your description is the same as my symptoms were. Good luck.

I wonder why too.It has happened to me in the past but it has not been constant. If it is getting worse or keeps on happening ever time don't wait too long to get check out.

It could be endometriosis. I had pains like that off and on for over 20 years, and sometimes when it would get worse, I'd go to the doctor, and sometimes there would be an ovarian cyst. The cyst would be blamed for the pain, but it was probably just coincidental. I finally had laproscopic surgery to diagnose the problem this summer. It was a super-deluxe case of endometriosis. The doctor removed it during the same procedure. It doesn't usually show in a sonogram. Ironically, there was more endometriosis on the left side, while my pains were only on the right. There was endometriosis near a major nerve on the right, so that's why I felt it there.

Don't get too scared if you have an ovarian cyst--they are apparently very painful if they rupture, but most of them do not rupture. None of mine ever did. I've lost count of how many I've had.....over a dozen that were diagnosed by sonograms. They all have gone away on their own after a couple of months. Sometimes women have them and don't even know it or feel it. It's still something to have the doctor check and keep tabs on.

A few years ago, when my doctor said to come back in a month for another sonogram to check on the cyst, I asked whether he would do anything besides say, "Come back in another month for another sonogram," if it was still there? So, Doc, is there really any reason to do this besides officially documented that it's still there? He laughed and said I was right.

However, since this is your first time to have this pain, it would be wise to have the doctor check it out.

I'd talk to your OB. Kinda sounds like Ovarian Cysts.
