Hi! I need to get my wisdom teeth removed and would prefer to go to a specialist / dental surgeon who can give me general anasthesia & take out all 4. Please send me your recommendations. Also, should I get it all done in one go or should I spread it out? Appreciate any advise.

What can I do next?

Hi A.,

My son got all 4 out at once a few months ago and my other son will have all 4 of his out in January. The oral surgeon we use is Dr. Mark Craig in McKinney. He did an IV sedation and my son doesn't remember anything about the procedure! My son's recovery did not take that long and he did great. Dr. Craig's office is awesome also. Very professional, new, clean, and caring. Good luck. We will be back there in January with my next son's being done!

I used Dr. Spradley with Associates in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, PA. They are located in Bedford, Grapevine, & Keller. I got all four of mine done at one time and went under general anestisia. The office I went to was Bedford off of Central. They are a very professional office and I had no issues with my Dr.

I got all mine out at the same time, & I had the IV sedation. Best thing.

Oh you're in Carrollton! Check out Dr. Jon Kolbensvik on Keller Springs ###-###-#### He took out all 4 of mine at once a few years ago. He is still my family dentist and has done a lot of work on myself and my hubby. I was amazed at how easy it was. I heard so many horror stories, but honestly it wasn't bad at all. I had it done on a Friday, and was completely recovered by Sunday! The staff are all great too.

Hey A., I'm a dental hygienist & my husband is a dentist, I would say def. go to an oral surgeon. My husband always refers out for wisdom teeth ext. Dr. Billy Phillips is awesome! & I would also say get all 4 done at once, under gen. anesthesia. Just my advice. Good Luck & don't worry it's really not too bad.

It's far better IMHO to do have them all removed at once - just prepared for soft foods for 2-5 days. And, make sure you get pain pills and don't plan on driving anywhere for 3+ days. We have used Dr. Richard Martin in Lewisville for both my sons and he's great - all he does is oral surgery.
