My husband and I recently got a Wii. I was wondering if anyone has any game recommendations for a 4 year old. I would like to play some games with my son but don't want any that will be to hard or make him get frustereated because he can't do it. Thanks.
At 4 there is a lot that they can do. My nephews have been playing everygame that we have since they were 3. The hardest part is that they just need to learn the controls. After that it is never a problem. They play things like madden football, Mario Kart, Baseball, Bowling, Wii Play has fishing. Good luck it is lots of fun to watch them.

My kids love bowling and baseball, even my 3 year old. They also love this panda bear game that Grammy got them for Christmas. It must be easy because they beat the game the first day they played.

We got our 4 year old the Mario Kart game and the steering wheel. If you get it, they do come together-don't buy them separate. He LOVES it and it is quite fun for us too!

I just got Wii for my husband for his b-day. We are loving it. It is so much fun for our family. I have a 5 year old and a 8 year old. We enjoy the Wii Play, Wii Sports. Raving Rabbids is way fun! I have not had a chance to play all the games on it, but it looks like it may not be suitable for younger kids (has a game called shoplifting)
My friend loves the Carnavel Games. I noticed a backyard games one that looked really fun for the younger kids, too. If you watch for the "E" for everyone AND be sure it doesn't say 10+ I think you'll be good to go!
Have fun! H.

We got a Wii for Christmas and I was looking for the same thing- games for my two (amost 3) year old- the one she loves is Bowling on the Wii sports and she also likes some of the Wii Fit games. We did get her a game geared for ages 3 and up- but it requires quite a bit of help - something a 2 year old does not want.
Good luck on your search and have fun!

Hi there,
Just a couple of recommendations from me, a fellow mom of a 4yr old. I have a 6yr old too, and we have quite a few Wii games, but there are 2 in particular that we LOVE to play as a family. Carnival is one that my 4 yr old loves. It is pretty much a lot of different games you find at amuzement parks and fairs. It is sooo much fun, we really have played for hours! Our second favorite is one called Playground. It has dodgeball, paper airplanes, go cart racing, tetherball, soccer/volleyball. It is one that is easy enough for the little ones to learn but that mom and dad will get excited about too! But I warn you, if you play dodgeball, you may get addicted and your arm will ACHE badly the next few days haha. I did want to mention, that maybe before forking over the 50-60 bucks for new games, try Blockbuster and rent a couple games to see how your family likes them? We have bought a few used games as well from Game Stop and they are quite a bit cheaper and come with warranties in case the game is scratched or something. :)
Good luck!

If you can get your hands on a Wii Fit, it's a lot of fun for the whole family, including your 4 yr old. There are a few kiddie games such as Cars: Mater National that he might enjoy, but it does take a little practice to get the hang of it. Another one is Wii Play, and many of the games from the Sports package.

Lego Star Wars is the easiest video game to figure out that I have found. My 4 1/2 and 6 year old just love playing it. Also Monkey ball seems to be a good little kid game, but they are having more difficulty with that one than they did with the Lego Star Wars.

we really like boom blox - the whole family plays. There's not a lot of reading for our 4 yr old and the whole family gets into knocking down the block towers.

Wii Sport has Bowling which my 3 1/2 year old does & Wii Fit has Yoga & Ski jumping and she loves those as well. Needs a lot of coaching from me and it took some time until she figured out how & when to release the button for the bowling & when to stand up for the ski jump. Try finding a rec center that has a wii station to try it out.

We put out a yoga mat so the kids will know where to stand. I had to teach my 3 yr old that the Wii can only "see" if the "eye" (sensor) is pointed at the TV.
After mastering golf - better than anyone in the family....he started playing Raymond's Raving Rabbids. He loves it! They're like a bunch of Toddlers. I recommend 1 or TV land. We have 2, but it's not as fun as 1 was.
Some of the games were too hard at first. But now he's a pro. You don't have to read to play cuz the rabbids show you what you need to do.
he loves making different rabbid outfits....and when he gets tired of playing, he turns on the jukebox and dances to the songs.

Hi! My sister has twin boys that just turned 3 and another son that is 5 1/2. They love the "Mario Cart" - although they pretty much crash over and over again. They also really like to do the bowling, but it took a little practice...
