Have you tried Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser? It may not work, but it is certainly worth a try. I have found from personal experience that those little sponges are WONDERFUL!!! They will remove stains that Clorox Bleach or any other powerful household cleaner won't touch and they seem to be pretty safe, no chemicals that I know of. It's still a mystery to me how they actually work because there are no cleaners involved. Just wet the sponge and wipe. Another idea might be a product called "Goo Be Gone" usually found in the automotive section. It supposedly removes paint and sticky residue. Hope this helps! Good Luck!

Did you try covering the white with a black marker? I don't know of a way to remove it, but that would certainly make it less noticeable. J. with Baby 2B Nashville

I don't think I've tried it on white-out, but try Vick's Vapo Steam. It takes white latex paint-scuff marks off vacuum cleaners like a whiz and shouldn't hurt your leather purse.

If you make a paste of baking soda and white viniger. Let it set for about 5 min. it should wipe right off. Good luck Pam

Take it to the cleaner. Get advice on how to get it out. Do not use any alcohol that might damage it.
I hope it come out.

I know alcohol gets white out off the copier at work but on leather, perhaps an oil base, maybe applying baby oil or vaseline and letting it soak awhile will break it down.

Try some Goo be Gone or Goo Gone. It's amazing what that stuff can get out...like red permanent marker on a red leather purse (my experience). My kids LOVE to color!

M., please let me know if you haven't discovered the 'cure' for the white-out. I'm with a company that has a product called Sol-U-Mel that I know will take care of your problem. EB

Sol-u-mel!!!!!!!!!!!

This stuff is awesome. It takes out everything. Find someone who is a Melaleuka buyer and get some from them. All it takes is a dab on your finger and rubbing it on the spot. And poof! It is gone. I love this stuff. God Bless

Hmmm. . .I haven't tried this specifically with White-out, but there is a concentrated cleaner, LA's Totally Awesome, that I have found at the Dollar Tree and Dollar General. It is concentrated, but I used it straight (no dilution) to take out ink stains. I even used it to remove really old, stubborn wallpaper. If nail polish remover did not hurt your purse, I would think this would be ok, too. What about the Magic Eraser? It says not to use it on car paint, but it is about the ONLY thing I have found to take off pine sap! Let us know what you find. (If it won't come off, you could get really creative with some additional purse artwork.) K

At least you just got it on leather! When my daughter was 2, I was taking a bath and she climbed on top of the desk and had the white out all over her naked body. The stuff shrinks when it dries and she was screaming. I found that the only thing to get it off was paint thinner. I soaked her in the bath and washed her in paint thinner and it came right off. Good luck!

I am a big fan of the magic clean eraser also. Not sure about it in this case, but it wouldn't hurt to try it. You can use it for tons of other stuff in your house if by chance it doesn't work.

Blessings,
Amanda

Use WD-40 on a soft clean cloth. Start slowly to make sure it doesn't remove the color but it will definitely get out the Wite-Out!
