Whistling Ad

Please tell me I'm not the only one who just realized the source of the whistle? For a couple of days I've been trying to figure out why my computer sometimes whistles. I just realized it's one of the ads off to the side.

Remember the joke that there are 3 types of people in this world - people that make things happen, people who watch things happen and people who ask, "What the heck just happened?" Yep, I'm person number three!

What can I do next?

Thank you for posting this. I thought I had a stalker or a virus in my computer! You forgot person number 4 - the person who ignores what's going on hoping it will just go away. That was me in this situation!

I frikkin' hate that thing. What a way to make me NOT want to buy a product just out of sheer disgust and spite....

I know we can turn it off, but how about not having to encounter that shrill sound altogether?

I turn off the volume. Mamapedia should know better than to post a ridiculous noisy ad like that. HELLO< Mamapedia?! Some of us are AT WORK!

I see a little X by the ads that say "mute this ad," but we should not have noisy ads at all.

The noisy advertising roaches are taking over. There are currently 7 advertisements on this page as I type. That's ridiculous.

You can turn "off" the sound of that ad.
I did that.
On the ad. It has a turn off sound thing on it.
Click it.

I hate it. I am having to turn off my volume or listen to that stupid whistle.

I enjoy using my gmail phone app and if I come to mamapedia.com while I'm talking on the computer to my friends out of state they hear that whistle too.

I love using gmail phone, it's free for the rest of the year. I can't turn the volume down and talk to them so I have to not come to mamapedia during my phone call.
