Which Work Schedule Would YOU Choose? - Morrisville,PA

I have the option of working four (4) 10-hour days or the standard five (5) eight-hour days.
Which one do/would you choose assuming child care costs would be the same either way?

What can I do next?

I have done both and if I could, I prefer the 4 days. It's so nice to have that extra day off during the week with either Wednesday off midweek, which is what I did or a Friday or Monday for a long weekend is nice too! You could always have your child/children there 5 days if you can afford it and have that extra day to do any errands that aren't so easy to do when you have them with you! I do miss my four day work week and hopefully someday I can return to it.

My husband has done both, while I stay home with the kids, so our child care costs ARE the same. If we had the choice, both of us would pick 4 10s every single time. Sure, he doesn't get much time with us those 4 days, but a 3 day weekend every single weekend is great. We took a lot of trips, got to go to the beach, museum or doctors appointments together on those days off without having to take time off work, or go on the weekends when it's way crowded. 4 10s are absolutely a wonderful schedule.

Definitely the (4) 10-hour days. Once you are at work what is an extra 2 hours? I would love to have 3 days off any week! Good luck!

I know people who love 4-10s. My father is older and more tired.. can't decide which he likes better.. 10 hours of physical labor is not easy for some people. I was in my 20's when I did it.
Also, will it effect your paycheck? I lost a lot of overtime pay when I went to 4 10 hour days.
