Hi Moms,

My daughter just turned 2 and I thought I would get a head start checking at Preschools for September 2010 enrollment. I have been told that there are wait lists at some of the best schools. There are a few I have been told are good and wanted to see if anyone had any information or experiences with these schools. Any reconmendations for a good preschool would be welcome also. We are looking for a preschool program not daycare.

Little Orchard Preschool, Rocklin, CA
Montessori American Acadamy - Douglas Boulevard, Roseville, CA
Roseville Community Preschool, Roseville, CA
Warners Granite Bay Country Day, Granite Bay, CA
Roseville Parent Education Preschool, Roseville, CA

What can I do next?

Our daughter went to Little Orchard in Rocklin. She was there 3 days a week for preschool only. We really liked the teachers and the child driven Highscope curriculum. The only negatives I can think of are price (it's a bit on the higher end) and there unforutely last year was some teacher changes during the year. Defintely call Susan Petite and check out both sites. Good Luck!

Sunrise Montessori!!! My son is in his second year there also and I love the pre-school program, the families that attend, the teachers and the director has owned/run the school for over 20 years. I suggest you visit to see for yourself if it is a good fit for your daughter.

Good Luck!!

I'm also a working mom and have 2 daughters, a 4 year old and 3 year old. My 4 year old is in her 2nd year at Warners Granite Bay Country Day school and is thriving. My 3 year is in her first year and just loves school. They also have a summer program/camp which both girls loved. The teachers are terrific and the director, Barbara Warner is very responsive and involved. We've had a great experience and I can't say enough about this school. My 4 year old is also involved in the enrichment program, which is an additional program (an extra 1.5 hours per day) where they spend time learning spanish/french, dance/movement, and dramatic arts/music.

My son enrolled at Miniapple International Montessori when he was a little older than 2. He just turned 5 in March. We have loved it. It's cozy. The teachers are really good, Montessori trained, and very caring. A terrific school director and assoc director who have been there for many years. Fabulous materials. Convenient location close to 36 and 35W, near Rosedale Mall. You have to check it out. I'll be happy to talk with you further if you have specific questions.
