Which Plastic/vinyl Training Pants and Where to Purchase?

Many mom's have said they used plastic/vinyl covers over their potty-training child's underwear while they were training. Is that right? I already know pull-ups are no good for potty-training, being the glorified diapers that they are. So where do you buy these "water-proof" pants and what kind/brand do you recommend? TIA!!

i mean target. no need to go crazy over brands. mine did great (used them for less than a week) and i purchased them at target. more importantly, don't use them during the day, just at night, get a waterproof mattress cover (target as well). also i do not recommend using these during summertime (hot and can cause the bottom to sweat and break out in a rash).

Hi,

I like the Gerber ones. They have like a cloth liner on the iside so they do not leak as much. I got mine at Babies R Us, but I think I have seen them at Wal-Mart as well.

Best of Luck!

They used them back in the day, and yes you can still buy them. I found them at Target, but not all locations sell them. Someone also told me they found them at walmart. They are in the baby section by the training underwear. You don't have to use them, but they help from getting everything else wet.

The ones they sell in Target and Wal-mart do not breathe at all and become very hot on the little ones in no time. Check out some cloth diapering sites for breathable training pants or covers. Bummis makes a pull on cover that is fairly inexpensive and will breathe but not leak.
