Which One Sounds More Fun to You?...

Hosting Bday party and average age of kids is between 6 and 9. Going to have plenty of kids, so keeping them safe is a priority. I can either do Two Jumpys or One 21' foot inflatable slide! It's would keep them moving and they can go down anyway they want...and bounce at bottom for a couple seconds till up they go again. The two jumpys, I would just separate the smaller kids from the bigger ones. Thanks!

The slide won't get hot because the owner told me the material is made to resist heating up. That said, I also have enough shade to cover it or I wouldn't even consider the 21' foot slide. 21' is the length of the slide.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I have shade so I'm opting for the water slide. I'm having it early in the day too. I have a misting system and ceiling fans on my patio. It's going to be an indoor-outdoor party so essentially half - inside/half outside. The heat didn't bother me when I was a kid as long as I had access to water and shade! Of course, there will plenty of hydration and real fruit! Putting a giant tarp around it so the kids don't get muddy and/or grassy.

Thanks again.

If you're planning on having the kids spend a lot of time outdoors in an Arizona summer, I hope you also plan on having a TON of water for them. Maybe also set up a sprinkler for them to run through.

I like the two jumpys idea because you could separtate the bigger kids from the littler kids-probably for about 5 mins but oh well.

Both sound fun-have a blast!!

I say slide - a water one! It's warm enough, probably year round in Arizona.

And don't hate me, but it took me a minute to read your question and I figured out why...."funner" is not a word...it would be "more fun."

which would be more fun to me, Diane? A water slide. You are in AZ!! Water slide!!

See if they will give you a deal for a water and regular one! Never know until you ask!

That slide will get HOT in the sun. I would do the bounce houses which are covered, or look into the water slide. The water slide sounds like more fun to me.

2 bounce houses is less waiting for your turn and separating the small and bigger kids helps keep them safe.

I agree with Queen. It's hell hot here, I couldn't imagine kids jumping and/or sliding very much in the heat. I don't know that either really matters over the other, they will have fun regardless. When you can't decide, go by price. Good luck.

I'd opt for a water slide, but be wary of the metal thingies that hold them into the ground. Children get hurt on those...

I'm wondering how you will keep the water slide from becoming muddy? Perhaps you have a water hose that goes around that the kids can run in to get the mud off?

If your slide doesn't include cold water, I can't imagine that the kids will like it in AZ heat, even with a cover...

At this age? I vote for the slide. They even have one now that has an obstacle course built in (go through these hanging things, jump over this tall wall, squeeze through these tubes then climb up ladder & down a slide!

I did a party for similar ages recently. I got a regular bounce house with a slide off of it. I"m not sure of the height but not 21'. I thought it'd be kind of a small, little play thing that the kids wouldn't be that into. But they loved it. It was really hot that day so I sprayed the hose on them, making it a water slide and they had SO MUCH FUN. And I was shocked how into bouncing they still were. I thought maybe the 8 and 9 year olds were too old but no. So I'd go with a bounce house with a "small" slide off the side if possible and you get both!

The slide. And be thankful it's NOT a water slide.
I've never seen O. that doesn't become a mud pit!

Water slide for sure. Ask for one with a pool at the bottom.

Slide, definitely. We have done both and the slide was a MUCH bigger hit.

I would get 2. If they have to wait for their turn to slide it could get annoying for them and you. Separate them by age and let them jump away.

The bounce houses! Plus its a safer option to separate the older and younger children.
