Kiddie Pool Party Tomorrow. Should I . . . ?

Ok so I'm having a kiddie pool party at 10:30 am and our water from the hose is freezing. So I'm wondering if I should fill the pool today let the water warm up and then clean the water of bugs and leaves in the morning. Or would it just get cold again during the night?? Or fill it up in the morning and add some hot water to it before the party?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks all! Here has been pretty mild of temps. Which I LOVE! We normally are in the triple digits by now. I can't stand heat, so this summer has been wonderful.
It's one of those flimsy sided pool. Next year I know to get the hard ones. Ugh I hate the one I have.

At my daughter's preschool, they add pots of boiling water to the pools in the morning to warm them up.

Do you have any mosquito netting that you could place over the pool after filling it tonite? My dad used to do that every nite so we could conserve water and not have to dump it. He also made us wash our feet in a foot bucket before we were allowed to enter the pool to keep grass, leaves & dirt out.

I would fill it tonight and COVER it or the heat will escape! We cover our kiddie pool with an old blanket- also keeps out the bugs and leaves. If it's still chilly, add some hot water to it!

I'd fill it up early in the am - adding warm if you need to. Sitting overnight will just get icky... Have a great party!

its 1000 degrees here in the shade. My kids add ice cubes to ours! If it were me, I would fill it tonight and cover it.

I'd fill it tomorrow! When my kids were little I would boil a huge pot of water (a few times if necessary) and poor it in. Worked like a charm :)

Ive done wading pool parties before and actually as it was filling with the hose I filled big pitchers of hot water from the faucet in the kitchen and carried them out. It took 5 or 6 to take the edge off the cold water but kids seem to just jump in anyway. I also one time, hooked the hose to the kitchen faucet and ran the water into the pool from there. But the hose was dirty, and hard to unscrew from the faucet out back and wasnt that big a deal in the end. I wish it was cool enough here to have this problem now. Its 105 now and the wading pool was too hot to get in when my grand daughter showed up this morning. I had to run cold in it till it over flowed. Should have given her a bar of soap,,lol

I vote tomorrow. That way water is fresh, no risk of bugs etc. You can add hot water if needed, of course the kids might not think it's cold...

We have two small inflatable pools, one is our cold pool and the other is our "hot tub!" I fill it with buckets of warm water from the house. it is a pain, btu the kids like to be able to warm up in it.
