Hi ladies! I am a team mom for the first time and I am supposed to find a place to celebrate the end of season for my son's baseball team. The kids are 10 years old and since we just moved here I haven't found a place to do that type of thing. Pizza? burguers? fames afterwards? I have no idea!
Do you have any suggestions? We live around the Avery Ranch area in North Austin. I am nervous because I've never done this and I don't want to let the team down.
Thanks for everything!
Ale

What about Austin's Park and Pizza, might be a little much for that type of thing, I dont know. Good luck!

Hi, my soccer team in recent years has gone to Fuddruckers. We do it during the week so they are not as busy as a weekend. I have called up and the manager set up 2 long tables in the back area near the games (one for the team and one for the parents). It is nice when each parent pays for their own family at the front so no worries on having to divide a check.

Hi A.,

Last year for our sports teams we just went to Cici's pizza - there is pizza buffet, so we don't have a large group of hungry boys waiting at a table with nothing to do until the food shows up. And they have an arcade area, as well, that the boys like to use while the parents are still eating. We also handed out the team medals and the coach took time to comment on positive traits that he saw in each player. I know that the Cici's in Georgetown, on I-35, accepts reservations, but I don't know about the others.

Good luck!
A.

Hi Ale, I live in Avery Ranch too and Moonie's is a great restaurant nearby. It's a hometown burger type of place (in Cedar Park, right on 183). The burgers are great and if I am not mistaken, they serve shaved ice with the kids meals. My kids love this place. You should also look into CiCi's Pizza.

Ok, I have a great place for you and, for the life of me, can't remember the name!!! I've been there a million times - guess that's what kids do to ya :) So, I'm going to describe it to you and hopefully it will be enough for you to find it. It is in the shopping center at Avery Ranch Blvd and Parmer Ln. Its right next to a fitness center at the end of the center. It has good food (burgers and stuff), a nice little patio where you all could sit, and the best part is that it opens out to a big open grassy area with a good-sized playscape in it. The kids could get out and run off some energy while they wait for their food and the parents could relax and keep an eye on them. I've seen a couple of team parties held there. It is on the tip of my tongue, I swear!!! Maybe someone else can clue us in on the name or maybe you can find it based on my description. Good luck!

UPDATE: It's Waterloo Ice House!!! Of course it came to me as soon as I posted :)
