I want to take my 2 sons, who are 13 years apart, to get their pictures taken together. My oldest son, 18, graduated high school this year, and my youngest son, 5, started kindergarten. One out, and one in... Anyway, I figure this may be the only chance I can get them togther to get professional pictures before the oldest gets too old. Here's the thing - I know several places offer cheap portrait packages, but those are usually only for one pose. I don't need a large package of the same photo. These pictures are just for me. We don't have family to distribute them to. I want a choice of several poses without paying an arm and a leg. I'm assuming I would pay a sitting fee for each kid, plus whatever the price is per sheet. I'm thinking I would want 4-5 different poses. Any suggestions? Where should I take them? I don't have hundreds of dollars to spend. I just want a few photos for myself to hang up. I would do ti myself and blow up the pictures, but I take terrible pictures! LOL!
I know several people who do this as their job or a side job. They all do great pictures. If you are interested I can send you their contact information.
Munson Cox is the BEST place locally for good quality portraits. They may be more pricey than you're wanting to pay, but you'll get a great selection and your boys will have a blast having their portaits taken there. All of the photographers are amazing! www.munson-cox.com
When my kiddos were little Target and JCP were both really affordable and they didn't make me choose all the same pose for the pics I bought and no sitting fees. SO that made it really nice by giving me extra $$ to spend on the pictures (which is where they make the money, btw).
If you want something on-location, not in a studio, etc you are looking at sitting fees and travel fees. I have a few photog friends who do this for me at a discount. BUT we have also used Smiley's in FW.
