Where Do You Buy Your Clothes?

It's pretty inexpensive, and you can get everything there from work clothes, to PJs, to casual and kids clothes.
I have become a big fan.
The clothes are not super high quality, meaning you will only get a season or two out of them before they wear out. But if you are not in a position to really invest in a wardrobe, this is a good place to start and cover a lot of bases.

Target and Old Navy for jeans.. they make clothes in all sizes.. also, Nordstroms half yearly sale.. now you ll pay a bit more, but the clothes in my opinion are better made and hold up longer, therefore it can be worth it since you save money in the long run... Also, since you are so small, Macy's teen department.. they often have good sales and clothes that will fit you.

My favorite place to shop online for dress clothes is Dress Barn. Despite its name, I think the clothes are very modern and cute. Everything I have purchased has fit well, even the pants. I also like that while the clothes look young and modern, they work well for a woman; the pants are higher-waisted and are made to hide mommy-tummy. Most of the dresses run around $40.00 but very often there are online coupons for $10.00 of 2 dresses or free shipping. They also have great customer service.

Otherwise, most of the clothes I buy come from thrift stores. I like Uptown Cheapskate and Plato's Closet; they are the type of stores you can sell your gently used clothing to. While you do have to search through tons of inventory and try on a lot as everything has a different fit, I find a lot of nice clothes, including shoes, in the $4-$10 range. I also like Savers and Deseret Industries. In fact, I just bought 3 skirts, 2 shirts and 2 cardigans for $30.00 this week and all look brand new and were name brand clothes from DI. A lot of wealthier people in my area seem to donate super nice items. Sometimes Target will have cute, cheap clothes as well but I find the fit is really hit or miss, so I would never buy online from them.

I have a few girlfriends who are your size, and they seem to do a lot of shopping at White House Black Market and Ann Taylor. Both of those places carry petite sizes. Congrats on getting back to your pre-pregnancy size!

I've always been on the small side (size 4), and have always had trouble finding clothes that fit properly. One thing I have noticed is that weight has gone up slightly over the years (kids!), but my size has not. I think clothing manufacturers have sized up existing sizes in the last few years, so you'll probably need to try on everything!
I shop at JCPenney and Old Navy mostly. The latter has a lot of smaller sizes. JCPenney is hit or miss. Good news is that the smaller sizes are usually left on the clearance rack, so I have had marginal success getting great clothes at a much cheaper price.

There is nothing wrong with your size!!! I am a petite max 116# since my 19 yr old was born. I still wear boy jeans sometimes. I'm 52 and pass for 30's. I flucuate between 114-120.

I love Black House White Market but I have to make sure I add color here and there. I love the styles they offer which are nicely fitted. I'm a size 2 there.

I have a great shopping area since I'm in Dallas so my choices veer from everyday to couture . I'm not a couture girl all the time, rarely!!!

I like good everyday outfits as well as my jeans . Not much is couture because I want something I love wearing all day everyday. I'm not into the frumpy couture or regular styles.

I see you are in IN. I'm sure there are some neat spots close to you.

I usually hit the clearance racks at Penney's or Kohl's. Sometimes I shop Gordman's but their quality is not as good.
You really have to take your time to clearance shop. But I have found incredible deals $30-$40 skirts for under $5.

marshalls and ross are always fun. you never know what you're going to find, but you usually find something good!
but i also like the tried and true- target, jc penneys and macys, but i only ever hit their sales racks.

You'd be amazed what you can find in thrift and resale shops!
Since you're tiny, don't forget to look in the girls section--even the boys section.
Also--have your tried Marshall's?

Confused... are you asking where to find size 1 clothes or are you asking were to find age appropriate size 1 clothes???

I guess I would think that if the clothes you bought while you were bigger were to your style and taste you would shop at those same stores, but in the smaller sizes. IT is very very easy to find size 1 and 2 clothes everywhere especially the clearance rack, but maybe it's time to update your look to something more updated and inline with your mom lifestyle?? It might be worth a bit more to get some classic pieces that you can mix and match with cheaper fun trendy things. the loft , Ny and co, whitehouse black market, TX max , I find great things in all of those places.

I guess some of it depends on how tall you are, but I would think that you can easily fit into children's clothes from J.Crew, Nordstrom, Gap, and Old Navy. A lot of the stuff looks identical to the women's clothing lines. When it goes on sale, it can be somewhat affordable.

Otherwise, Banana Republic, Ann Taylor Loft, and H&M are good for slim women. Marshall's is good too, but you really have to dig through the racks. Good luck to you!

I have the same type of figure. I've found J Crew is pretty good. I like some of their cropped pants. Eddie Bauer has side zip pants that fit and look nice yet are practical. Same with some nice v neck tshirts. Lands End had good capris a year or so ago. Not sure if you have Nordstrom's but they seem to have lines that fit me and are good quality yet not always as expensive as might be expected. Ann Taylor also has some tall pants. Not that you're tall but if you're thin chances are pants are often too short. If you have Lord and Taylor near you, they have some nice but reasonably priced classic cashmere sweaters.

I'm struggling to reach 90 pounds right now (health issues), and I don't fit into anything. It's frustrating. When I weigh a bit more, Ann Taylor Loft is pretty good for pants and skirts, but their tops are very poor quality lately. They have great sales!

Ann Taylor has small sizes, too, and the quality is much better, but they're more expensive. White House Black Market is also nice, but you get what you pay for.

I'm right there with you--I'm just under 100lbs (and 5'2"). I just have good genes and a good metabolism. It's hard to find clothes in stores like Kohl's and Dillard's because they usually start at a 4 or their small is a 4/6. I totally get you!

I buy all my clothes from GAP, Banana Republic, Ann Taylor, and White House Black Market. They all carry sizes 0-2. All 4 stores can be a bit pricey, but they all have outlet stores, too!!

Are you a petite? If so, definitely try Ann Taylor Loft and Talbot's Petites. Their clothes fit petite women really well and are very classic. Especially Talbots. Buy pants there and get them hemmed and you'll have them forever.

I have just heard about White house/Black Market from a friend !

I do not like buying clothes. I would rather pick out a paint color for a room!!

I go on KOhls.com, JCPenney.com, Old Navy.com...and a few other stores to see what the styles and prices are. This way I don't spend hours driving around.

I wait until Kohls has 30 percent off ---I am actually going to order something this week because it is 30 percent off !

I did not go back in your posts, but I agree, try thrift and resale stores. I'm average size 140 lbs, tire of clothes quickly, and have no social life, so thrift stores serve various purposes: on Fridays I take $20 and go to a local thrift store. I find a blouse, jeans, jacket, etc. go home, wash them, and have a full night entertainment on $20.
