I have at least 5 traditional and very authentic paintings on cloth and silk..I tried at the local art and frame store..and they gave me sky rocket prices..I haven't been to any other since then..but I am afraid the silk ones do need framing asap before they lose their lusture and charm ..Hence I seriously need to know of a reasonable art and frame place where I could get them framed and preserved soon..Pls Help!!

If you go this week, Michaels is having their 70% off 3 or more frames through Saturday.

I could never have afforded to mat and frame the 4 pieces I took there on Sunday, and was waiting for this sale - they only do it a few times a year.

Good luck!

My husbands buddy has a framing business. He has framed all of my hubby's "precious" baseball memorbilia. He is very reasonable and does great work. His website is framesbyjames.org or you can email him ____@____.com

He is really great! Hope it works out for you.

Have you tried taking them to somewhere like Hobby Lobby? I had some old photos and things (my grandmother's veil for one) and they were reasonable and the final result was very nice.. I know that the price for a double matted solid wood frame for my diploma was around $75.

I have taken my stuff to Michael's for custom frame work because they send out a 50% off coupon in the junk mail every month so that makes the price a bit nicer. Just look in the newpaper type section of the junk mail and they have a section in there...

Hi Rashmip,
I always go to the Great Indoors off the tollway & Alpha (I think thats where it is). Anyways, they always have 50% off sales and they are very helpful.
