Where Can I Donate Baby Food?

I have some store-bought baby food left, my son doesn't eat that anymore. Do you know any places with kids where I can go and donate it. I don't want to put on craigslist etc because then I will have to give my address out to people. Thanks!

What can I do next?

When my daughter stopped eating baby food I gave it to my daycare provider for younger children she had.

If it's unopened and not expired, take it to the local food bank or church or women's shelter. I'm sure they'll find a home for it.

Google "Food pantries in St Paul, MN" and donate to any food pantry/shelf.

Also churches with nurseries and in-home child care providers could use baby food.

Call up your local food pantry or Churche's! I have done that many time's, I had alot of leftover baby cereal and baby water and the local church accepted it!

Call a few churches in your area. They will either take it or suggest a place to bring it. Keep in mind, it can't be expired.

I would try the Crisis Nursery, an organization right in the Twin Cities. They take in children for a night or two when parents are really stressed out and close to abusing them.

With Christmas coming up, I am saving all our left over baby food. I will be donating it to a few churches for their Christmas food baskets.

Your local WIC office might accept it. Not sure.

Okay so if you're donating it, I think a local food pantry would appreciate it. (Everyone's already said this so I won't elaborate on it.)

However.... you may want to keep some of it and add it to cakes or muffins.

Yummy! It gets cakes so moist. I also use less oil and replace it with applesauce. I replace half of the white flour with whole wheat flour, too. Just do a google search for cakes with baby food. Here's one: http://allrecipes.com/Search/Recipes.aspx?WithTerm=baby%2...

Jerry Seinfield's wife, Jessica, wrote a recipe book called Deceptively Delicious where she adds baby food such as carrots and spinach to her brownies recipe, squash (puree or just use your baby food) to make baked egg puffs, or pureed squash to make blueberry lemon muffins. I have her book and it's filled with tons of recipes that include pureed foods/baby food jar type.
I know you are being generous by donating to others, but I just thought I'd "throw out" another idea by using some when you bake/cook.

I just made delicious carrot muffins for my Girl Scout troop last week for our snack during one of our meetings. The recipe called for 2 jars of carrot baby food. The girls LOVED the muffins and got a kick out of the idea that baby food was in the recipe.
