I don't know what kind of other responses you have gotten, but there are Alpha Teen pregnancy centers all over the state...see if there is one by you and that would be a great place to donate everything!

After I had my last child, I donated alot of extra clothing, etc. that she had to the nearest family shelter.

Your local food pantry or women's shelter would appreciate these items. Also, check with various religious organizations--they usually know of families that could use baby goods.The Howell Food Pantry's number is ###-###-####.

Epiphany House in Asbury Park, NJ needs any diapers, formula,clothing, etc.

I donated all of our "leftovers" to a local shelter. I see you live in NY so I don't know what is near you. When I called to ask if they would accept these items they were thrilled. They said they rarely get enough baby items. As long as the formula isn't outdated I'm sure a local shelter or church would gladly accept those items. You may just have to call around to find a local shelter or church. Good luck with your little one!

I believe your local foodbank would take the items.

Try Freecycle.org, you can post what you have and whoever in your area needs it will contact you to pick it up. For safety, I just put the items on my front porch in a bag with the person's name on it. I don't know where you live but they are in almost every area of New Jersey.

if your area of living has a state funded wick program you could give to them or your local churches or day care centers would take them....

I am not sure a formal organization would take them, but I posted my stuff on craigslist under the Free section and a needy mom came and got it the same day.

D. - I also had the same issue with items that I no longer needed for my son. I called my church and they were in touch a local organization that accepted donations for children/adults, etc.

If the formula is open or expired, try an animal shelter. They can use it to feed the baby animals. And kitten and dog formula is very expensive. If it's unopened, call a local church. Lots of them have, or can get you in contact with, a food pantry. The diapers, try a woman's shelter. Any large town/city has a woman's shelter. Call your local police departmant (do not call 9-1-1, you never know some stupid people have been doing that alot lately. But of course if McDonalds is out of McNuggets then by all means) and ask them to give you a reference. The shelter may take the formula as well.

Hello, I'm a counselor at Information Technology HS in Queens NY. I'm using a program call Real Care. This program teaches students about the responsiblities of taking care or a baby. In addition, they learn how having a baby effects their life and everyone around them. This is a wonderful program and the children enjoy it. We have few supplies for the Real Care babies. The babies are the size of a 5 month old. We need diapers and baby clothes. We would greatly appreciate your help. ____@____.com

Check into Yahoo Groups...FreeCycle. It's a wonderful group. You can find one in your area and post stuff you no longer want or ask for things you need.

I've noticed that you have a lot of good responses for unopened packages of diapers, if you have any that are from open packages though, check with a local horse stable. When we have a few left over of a size we give them to my SIL who uses them on the horses (legs I believe). I don't really know the exact use, but I know that she said they were the perfect shape. Just a thought so you're not throwing them out.

There may be more noble causes such as shelters, but not knowing about them, I can recommend to you freecycle.com. It has local chapters all over the country, and you just sign up to yours. You post what you have and usually leave it to the recipient to pick up. I see baby things like this all the time. It's a great place to surrender all kinds of unwanted stuff, and you'd be surprised how much that you find worthless others find a treasure! You might also find things you'd like yourself....:)

Birthright I am sure would love a donation. Check with your local Catholic church.

Donate it to a local church. They always know of families in need of things like that.

Try your local food bank. They'll have to still be wrapped/sealed probably, but that's what I did when my daughter outgrew those things. The food bank took the diapers too.

Call your local food bank. Some of the ladies in my networking group donate to the morris county shelter. I don't have the number, but I'm sure if you call the county they may be able to point you in the right directions. Also, try the Salvation Army, they have a corp in Dover, NJ

I'm due in about 3 weeks and I could sure use the diapers! As far as the formula goes you could bring that down to all babies cherished.
