hi, mommies! i am considering switching to cloth diapers for my 13 month-old son and would love to know which brands/types you all like! Let me know! Do any of you use a diapering service? How much does that cost? Is the all-in-one better than the prefolds? I'd love any help you could give me on the subject!

I'm also a big Fuzzi Bunz fan. They are great diapers. But if you'd like to learn a lot more and really see what kind of systems there are, there's a class in town that goes over them all, including diaper services, which in general will be pricier than washing your own cloth. Anyway, the class is at the Birth Center in Nob Hill and the next one is May 21st. Here's the link:

But you are very smart to consider cloth. It'll save you a lot of money AND help as your son approaches potty training!

Hands down Fuzzy Bunz. I get mine from Natural Family Boutique (you can google the name for the website). It is sooo much cheaper to use cloth. I like the all in one's best, but use prefolds on occassion.

Hope this helps!

i used some with my 1st son now 3 1/2, and am planning to use them with the baby due in july. I am not sure where you are located, but i would google "cloth diapers, city where you reside" and see if anyone has a little shop set up. some people have them in a home, so i would bring a friend along. I went to www.wildflowerdiapers.com the lady is really nice, and also holds monthly informative workshops. there are so many options out there, you are sure to find something that is right for you and your family. I plan to use prefolds for the first few weeks so that I don't use a lot of $ on a size that won't fit long, and i can use them later to help bulk up a pocket diaper. then i will be using a variety of choices. I like the pocket diapers because you can make them more or less obsorbent as needed. good luck.

Fuzzi Bunz...just love them. I ordered them online--just did some searching to find the best deal at the time. I used them with our oldest and now are using them again with our second. They are still in great shape! They are great because one size adjusts and can be worn for months. They are so easy to clean we don't spend money on a service. I wash them once per day--cold rinse, wash hot and dry (dryer or on the line). They got a bit harder to clean when I introduced solids but I have been very happy with them.
