I'm having a blue day. Combination of no sleep and long winter. What is something you do to feel better on a "blue" day??

What can I do next?

I'm with Denise P.-- If I can get a cup of tea in me (currently chugging away at a cup of Russian Caravan 'cause Kiddo had a tough night) and a walk, awesome.

If I can't go walk and have housework up to my ears, some good music, and that depends on mood. Rainy day? Thelonious Monk or early Miles. Sunny outside-- then Patti Smith, real loud if I'm home alone, or Crowded House if Kiddo's around. (I love Patti but my near 4 year old has no context for some of her stuff!:)

A walk through the park, bundled up, to the deli to pick up some beautiful olives, dolmas, some focaccia bread and then some fresh veggies and good canned tomatoes to make into a sauce to dip that bread in. The thought of a good meal for dinner can get me revved up early in the day. I'm an amateur foodie, I suppose. And if I can get a fire going in the wood stove (read: if my guy's got some wood chopped), even better!

Wow, I feel good already just thinking about this. Think I have a plan...
