Ok I wake up most mornings at 6:30 am. However about 2 nights a week their are some type of issue that wakes me up on a regular basis. 1. son had severe rash 1. one of my kids has a problem wetting the bed 3. someone needs the nebulizer again. its season for us.
I make sure my son is awake most mornings he is eager to get on the bus. He really enjoys the bus ride. This is the first year of being a bus kid for him and the novelty has not worn out yet for him. I go downstairs put a load in the washer. Then take my thryoid med. Start making the kids lunches then breakfast. My oldest son eats breakfast. Then I quickly drive him to the bus stop..its 2 blocks and time is of the essence. I get back at home at 7:45. Make sure second child is awake. He usually is fairly grumpy in the morning. UGH. Remind to make his bed ( they all have to make their beds. but act like this is brand new information most mornings.) My youngest says
good morning mama" completely dressed with her bed made and happy. The three of us go downstairs and eat breakfast. My husband stays in bed late every morning but usually gets home late normally aound 10 pm. We eat then drive my middle child to school which is a 2 min drive if that. Then if its M,W,F I then drive my daughter to nursery school. She attends 3 mornings a week. I go back home clean up the breakfast dishes. Dust and vacuum one floor. Straighten up the house. Go pick up my daughter from nursery school if its Tues then we head ove r to og

I set my kids' clothes out the night before.
M-F: If I have to work, I wake up at 3:30a and got to work (work is 2 blocks away) from 4-8am. Come home and help oldest son tie his shoes :) he gets up by himself at 7a and eats breakfast, brushes his teeth and gets dressed...we chat, then he is out the door to catch the bus (bus stop is 2 houses down) at 8:34a. I help middle son get dressed and watch hubby get dressed for work (I love that), make hubby's lunch and send hubby and middle child on there way...daddy drops him of at preschool M-Th at 9a then daughter and I relax, clean up, get dressed, then walk to get son from preschool at 11:30a, stopping at the park on the way home, if the weather permits (preschool is 5 blocks from house, through the park). We eat lunch, then play or watch cartoons...I do some laundry...general tidying of upstairs...oldest son gets home at 3:35p...he eats a snack, we sit at the table while ge does homework, I make dinner, hubby gets home between 6-7p, we eat, clean up kitchen, kids go to bed at 8p...hubby and I relax and watch some TV...I set out kids clothes...and go to bed @10p...then the day starts all over again!

Weekends Rock at my house! Everyone pitches in for clean up when needed but mostly we veg and play games and watch movies and have fires now tat it's getting cooler!

I think the moral of the story (yours and the others posted) is that MOST of our days are SSDD (Same S*** Diiferent Day) ! That's why it's so important to find joy in everthing we do and spend time with our loved ones in a meaningful day. I talk with my 6 and 8 yr old while I do dishes and cook. We put away laundry TOGETHER. I really try to make it a point to not just go thru the motions and get everything done, but really be present and together - Easier said than done most days though, I know. If schools not too far, then walk and talk together...............

Typical weekday is something like this:
5:20am - wake up to work out then shower
6:15am - make lunches for myself and my son, then eat breakfast
If my husband is dropping the kids off in the morning I leave for work at 6:30am. Otherwise:
6:45am - wake my son up and tell him to get dressed and ready for school
7am - Feed my son breakfast and get my youngest daughter up and ready
7:20am - Make both kids brush and put shoes, jackets on
7:25am - Leave the house and first drop my son off at school then daughter at daycare and head into work
8am - 4pm work
4pm - Leave work and head home to get my daughter first at daycare then son at school
If my husband is picking up I work until 4:30pm.
Get home around 5pm and have my son get started on homework while I make dinner. We usually eat dinner between 5:30-6pm since I plan out meals for the week. After dinner finish up homework and read with the kids and then they play the rest of the night.
8pm - bedtime for both kids
Then husband and I have a couple of hours to do what needs to be done, dishes, light cleaning, watching TV, laundry.

We do a whole house cleaning on Saturdays both kids have chores to do on that day too. Grocery shopping is also done on weekends and any other errands. I'm lucky that my husband helps out so much.

I'm up no later than 630am (when my alarm goes off) but usually up closer to 610-615.

Most mornings hubby and our 3 year old gets up when I do. Sometimes our 1 year old is up too. If not, I let him sleep until it's time to go! We get ready for preschool / work. I usually make a sandwich for breakfast and take leftovers for lunch. Kids clothes are laid out (five days worth) so I can grab one of those. If both kids are up, hubby gets 1 ready and I get the other ready. If our daughter gets dressed in time, she'll watch some cartoons until 7am. I load both kids in the car and drive five mins to daycare and drop them both off.

I drive 20 mins to work and work from 730-4pm. If hubby does not pick up the kids, I pick them up and get home between 445-5. We eat dinner right at five Mon-Thurs as hubby has it prepared! Fridays we go to my parents for dinner.

After dinner I will usually offer to clean up since hubby made dinner and he can play with the kids. If it's nice out, we'll play outside for awhile then come back in and either play in the living room or basement (they have a playroom down there). If it's bath night, I give both kids a bath around 615 then my youngest is ready for bed at 7. Daughter gets to watch one 1/2 cartoon then hubby or I read books to her then she brushes her teeth. She always wants daddy to tuck her in then I sit in her room and do her prayers with her and sing the same songs I have sung since she was small.

Then hubby and I have from 8-10pm together. Some nights we watch tv together and other nights he'll play on the computer and I'll watch my own shows (I usually have to kick him out so I can watch my own shows, but I NEVER have time to watch them and he doesn't watch them!)

Sat and Suns are different because hubby is at work until 715pm. I get up whenever the first child wakes up. Can be anywhere from 6-7am. We have breakfast (usually waffles, eggs, pancakes). We play either upstairs or in the basement. If in the basement, I work on laundry. I put the younger one down for a nap and if I'm tired, allow my daughter to watch 1 hour of cartoons and snooze on the couch next to her. If I'm not tired, we'll watch cartoons together, read books or play together. After my son wakes up we either go to my parents house (they live 10 mins away) or I make breakfast, followed by errands, the park, playing, etc until dinner time then bath and bed! Depending on how tired they are, I will sometimes have them in bed before hubby gets home and the house straightened up so we can relax together. Other nights they are up when he gets home so that gives he and I a little less time together alone but he gets to see them so it all works out!

This *new* schedule of ours just changed to this three weeks ago when my husband switched from working Mon-Thurs evenings to weekend day shifts. I LOVE IT!

Fall & Spring average days:

- Kiddo (ds8) gets up around 730 (unless he's in a growth spurt... then it's 930) and makes himself a bowl of cereal and watches a movie and does his chores.

- I get up around 830, check in with kiddo, take my laptop to the porch with my coffee. Take a shower and do my chores.

- 10ish we start school. 1130ish we get out of the house for awhile (parks -skate park or dog park-, hiking, playdate, errands, bookstore, swimming, etc.) . 1pm we come home for lunch & school. Usually wrap up around 230. We have a few hours of freetime and then it's evening classes and sports. Dinner around 7-8pm. Bedtime between 9-10.

- 10pm-2am I do my thing. Writing, photography, *my* school stuff, phonedates with girlfriends, talking with H, etc.

About once a week:
- We go on a field trip so we leave in the morning and come home in the evening... or we stay out late (show, concert, observatory, etc.)
- We have friends over for dinner and games, or take kiddo over to their house for dinner and games
- I have an evening off starting at 6pm
- Kiddo has a Nana Day with his grandmother after lunch until bedtime.
- Field Day the house.

In the winter :

Our day starts at 4am... we climb into our snowclothes and kiddo climbs into his sleepingbag and we drive to the mountain. Kiddo wakes up after about an hour and eats breakfast in the car. We get to the mountian just as the runs open at dawn. We snowboard off an on until 4pm, doing school on breaks. Eat dinner in the car. Are home and in bed by 6 or 7pm.

In the summer:

We do swimming or sailing in the morning, come home and do lunch and school starting at 1pm. Meet up with friends most evenings for BBQs and more swimming (it's light out late here in the summer... sunset around 10pm) until twilight.

Sounds like a typical mama's day! And your kids sound very discliplined. :-) Sounds like you need to have your hubbuy pitch in more, it doesn't matter if he works or not, late or not, he needs to help you out more (fold the laundry while he's watching TV, make dinner once a week or on the weekend, etc)
As for making kids' lunches, make a batch of them on the weekend, then all you have to do on the weekday mornings is grab and stuff em in the bags and go. Individually bag carrots/veggies/sides and sandwiches.
My typical day? Well I'm a working mama so in the morning, I wake up, go to the gym (while everyone is sleeping so I can get my 'me time'). Then back home, hubby and daughter just waking up. We all get ready, I take her down and get her ready (she's a grump in the am). Grab our lunches, put them by the door for hubby and I (which was already prepared over the weekend). Drop daughter to school (she eats breakfast there), go to work. After work, either hubby or I pick her up, bring her home. Allow her a bit of free play, but no food before dinner at 6. After dinner, she must help us clean up, stack the dishes in the dishwasher, etc. Then it's homework time, and last 1/2 hr of the day is free play again for her before her bedtime. After she goes to sleep it's homework (I'm taking a language class) or relaxation w/hubby on the couch for me.
On weekends I do laundry, and tell hubby to help me fold. We have a cleaning lady come 1x a month for 50 bucks to clean. I have my daughter pick her clothes the night before. After work if I see things needing to be done I do it, but I don't fret if I can't. We're busy moms!
