What Is the Best Under Eye Concealer?

Hi ladies,

I have always been not so blessed with dark circles under my eyes, and they have only gotten worse as time has gone on. My left eye is slightly worse than my right...looks like I have a black eye.

Anyhow, does anyone have a great product that they use to help with horribly dark under eyes? I feel like the one I currently use just isn't doing the trick anymore. I tried a new one, and it just looks all cakey like.

What do you use?

Try the yellow concealer by Neutrogena...it's in a stick like a lipstick. The yellow color will counteract the circles.

I've had dark purple/blue circles since I was 11. I have tried EVERY concealer ranging from drug store to one that was $70. Here is what I use currently that I have been very happy with it...
If you have lines, use Smashbox Photo Finish Targeted Pore & Line Primer (you can buy it at Ulta or Sephora). Use a little around your yes and it melts away the fine lines. I then use Bobbi Brown concealer (not the corrector, just their normal pot concealer) and translucent powder from Amazin Cosmetics to set it (Sephora or Ulta).
Good luck! I hope you find something that works well.

I friend of mine had really bad dark circles under her eyes which just made her under eyes looked super puffy. She thought she looked like a zombie or something. She even started sleeping 9 hours at night and taking a nap-didn't help. She finally went to a dermatologist and got a prescription for a cream. She put it on every night and after a while it was much better. I saw her last week and it is a lot less noticable. She also uses Physician's Formula coverup--I think it is pink rather than skin colored.

THIS STUFF IS AWESOME!!!

http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml;jsessionid=US...

It's not a concealer, it's an eye brightening pencil. It's pinkish tone will completely camoflauge the dark circles, while brightening the area around your eyes, making you appear more awake, more youthful, etc.

And NO, I'm not a Benefit salesperson, I just have this pencil, and it is my most favorite make-up article! Yes, I need my eyeliner, mascara, etc., but I can go with different kinds, brands, etc. of those. But this eye brightener is really amazing. The difference in your appearance is remarkable after using this product. And it's not cakey, thick, hard to apply, etc. You just scribble a little on over the dark area and in the corner of your eye, and blend. Easy, peasy. And since it's a pencil, it does give really ample coverage with very little product.

Google it. I sent the link for Sephora, which is where I got it, but I see it cheaper on ebay...

Give it a try... I have used this for years and love it.

Hi, I have the same issue- always dark. I use Neutrogena's undereye concealer. Not sure how many they have, it's the one that is specifically for eyes and you twist it to make the make up come up through a little sponge like thing. I usually put it on and let it sit for 5-10 minutes, seems to stay better when I put on the rest of my make up, never gets cakey.

I've heard Rimmel makes a good one also, and I believe it because it's always sold out when I shop! Just FYI of what I've heard.

Good luck!

I am not trying to sell product, I just want to tell you what I sell because I use it and I believe in it. I sell Beauti Control, and I have 3 options for you. 1) Under Eye Roller - also called the puffy pen, on sale this month even. I use this and I love it. There are some of these sold in stores, but the difference is the active ingredient. Ours is 20% active ingredient, others are only 2%. 2) Primer- this will make your skin look airbrushed under your makeup. Use the yellow one under your eyes to hide the dark circles. It's only $10 a tube and only takes a tiny amount. 3) Extra help concealer - this is just what it says, if you need some extra help after you use your makeup just a dot of this will take care of it. $10.
Feel free to check them out on my website or call me if you have questions

Several years ago, Elizabeth Arden had this concealer that came in a little pot. It was hard like a stick concealer except you got it out with your fingers. It was very thick and covered like a charm. You might see if they still have it. Might be a little more expensive than drug store concealer, but I've had the stuff for years! It goes a really long way. Good luck!

I don't have that dark of circles, so I use a basic concealer. If your circles are that dark think about going to one of the high end make up counters and asking them about make up camouflage. It's expensive, but it covers. I used to use it for when I had major acne as a teen. They should give you a sample, and show you how it applies. Here's a link to Sephora's camo, but this is just one example:

my eyes are the same way. I have been discouraged all my life. last year I became a M. Kay beauty consultant because they have several options. Timewise targeted action eye revitalizer. (this helps more than you know). people tell me all the time. Timewise firming eye cream(this helps with puffiness) we have concealers also, and we also have a Facial highlighting pen. it brightens the eye area. or anywhere else for that matter. if you would like to contact me, I would love to help. But if you would like to contact someone in your area, I think you could go to marykay.com. My name is M. Jones, my phone is ###-###-####. Good luck and God Bless

I have had a hard time with any kind of cream style concealer settling into creases and making me look older than my years. I stumbled upon L'oreal Paris brands concealer when my sister bought too light a shade for her and passed it on to me. It is a powder in a very small container ( it says concealer on it) it is the Bare Minerals line. I love it. The brush is tiny, it does not take a lot, it blends so well I can use it under my eyes and even on blemishes. It looks pricey for the amount that you are getting ( although it is under $20 ) but the fact of the matter is it goes a LONG way.
Good luck!

J.,

The very best concealer is to rid yourself of those dark circles. I know how you can do it naturally. There is a great product out there - it's just not in the stores. This product has been clinically tested and I tried it myself for 7 weeks on one side of my face only - because I wanted to see the before and after (the results). That is what counts right? After 7 weeks - my husband begged me to start using it on the other side - he said it looks like I have been beating you or like you have had a stroke!! It works!

This product is clinically formulated and botanical-based, pH balanced, hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic (won't clog pores) and Dermatologist tested. It has never been tested on animals, contains NO animal-derived ingredients and is free of occlusive oils, soap and dyes.
What's even better is that there is a whole line of these skin-infusing nutritional products for your whole body. Look 10-20 years YOUNGER in 2 months!! AND...It's all guaranteed - OR your money back.

Hmmmm...Natural AND Guaranteed - who could ask for anything more?
Just 1 question - do you by any chance also have allergies? Ask me how you can improve life in this area...naturally, of course.

I am a Wellness Coach and am very passionate about helping people live healthier and do it naturally, using proven-to-get-results 'green' products.

Sincerely, S. R
