X.O.
My only accomplishment today is getting my 2 yr old's diaper changed and clothes back on him. He's been on kinda a nudist craze lately, but it is still too cold for that, and I don't want him peeing all over the house.
So I have finalized the budget, made a list of what all I can cook, Made the grocery list and kept to the budget... I feel GREAT! I know I still have 19 days left in the month but you know what as good as I feel right now I think I got this! And to top it all off... I will be saving enough every year that I should be completely out of debt in about 4 to 5 years and that is just with the savings, not what I have budgeted into paying them so really it will be sooner. (medical bills and student loans are killing my credit score!) And I have the bills paid for this month already! I have what needs to be put away put there! I am sooo happy!
What have you done lately that you wanted to do but could never push yourself to get done?

woohoo!!!!! Good job! Doesn't that just feel great!!! :)
I recently started training at the same dojo that my kids have gone to for 4yrs...........At almost age 33, I'm now learning traditional Japanese martial arts!!!!! I'm super proud of myself (and my sore muscles) :)
The two biggest things I did in 2012 were to complete my MBA (FINALLY!) and have gastric bypass surgery. I am now secure at work (thank God!) and have dropped 97 pounds since October 25th. That means I got to go shopping for me and I love buying smaller clothes every time I go.
Kid wise? I get them where they need to be each and every day on time. I've got 3 kids to get to baseball practice, football practice, dance practice, and physical therapy...did I mention I work full-time?
The house isn't a complete disaster area and we've been outside a lot enjoying the nice weather we've been having here.
So all in all, I've been living the good life :).
I've lost 6 lbs in the past month. It takes a ridiculous amount of effort and I have a lot more to go but one pound at a time, it's working. My current exercise schedule is now up to:
3-4 bike rides a week, 12-20 miles each, 50+ miles a week
2 kickboxing classes a week with a friend
1 3-mile jog a week with another friend
6-8 miles of walking a week broken out by walking my youngest to and from school, walking around the fields while the kids are at lacrosse practice, etc.
My weight has been going up and down a pound for the last week so I was discouraged but I measured my waist and it's an inch smaller, so yay!
I have always wanted to participate in a Mud Run.
Last weekend I checked it off my bucket list...but I want to add it back on. It was so flippin' fun. I did it with my husband and some of our best friends.(two other couples)
I have bruises, cuts, scrapes and sore muscles to show as a badge of honor for accomplishing this goal.
Way to go 2Boys4me for accomplishing such amazing financial goals...that is awesome!!
I weaned myself of family drama. I do not attend any family events and am finally at peace with it.
I wanted to start reading more. I was averaging about a book a year and I wanted to change that. In March I read three novels (two James Patterson and one David Baldacci). I've already read one in April and I'm moving to #2. My new goal is 3-4 books a month:)
Getting out of a very bad marriage. It was hard and you keep thinking you can't do this to your kids but my kids are so much happier now. Finances are also going to be a nightmare but I'm totally looking forward to doing what you've done and get a real budget done once the divorce is finalized and all the bills will be transferred to me. Divorce isn't normally considered an "accomplishment" but in this case, it's more of a mental, emotional, social, spiritual goal. It took letting go to realize what I went through was not okay and certainly not normal.
getting my son's room painted! Well, almost done!! The first coat goes on tonight after my husband gets home from work...
other accomplishments? hhhmmm...good question...
oh yeah! Went through my kids closets and got rid of clothes they don't wear or fit into!! What a relief that was!!! I don't have to push myself to do it - but it's soooo low on my totem pole...
since we are painting his room - it gave us a great opportunity to rid him (and us) of things he has not touched in the last six months! YAHOO!!
I just cleaned my shower, that thing I hate. And am preparing to scrape the caulk, GRR.
I think you have accomplished more than you realize these last few months! Great Job!
I weaned my toddler from the breast. Super sad, but I wanted to do it for a long time and just wasn't successful. Well, now it's done! And she's, at this very moment, screaming at me, "Change my diaper!!" So you can guess what I need to accomplish next.
Finally started making time for me to get at least a half hour workout in every night!
Sign up for a mentor at work and pretty up my resume and apply to some positions that require me to stretch. I've been wanting to do it for years. Went to Mentoring Day at work back in January and just signed up for a mentor last week. I'm on a bit of a roll.
Great job!!!
Things I have accomplished? In my entire life or recently?
Recently, I've overcome a bout with complications of pneumonia and being really ill on top of overcoming ANOTHER broken leg. It was my left leg this time. I had the full-on flu and was on Tamiflu for 10 days. I survived another bout of shingles and an absessed tooth. I've managed to keep from being taken out back and shot like an old horse.
I get to go back to work on April 15!!!!
Yay!
It will be a rough transition, but I will be making so much more money working than on SDI. I will go right back into work mode, which I'm happy about. The one bummer.........the weather here is so stormy and I'm not used to having to go out in it.
I've been through a lot and I'm happy to bounce back.
Wish me luck!!
I've went outside of my comfort zone by taking on more responsibility outside of my typical life. It isn't anything huge, I just do childcare three days a week for one child.
It is an accomplishment for me because since my baby(6 years)was 2 years I haven't done anything outside of being a SAHM. Also, with my health issues taking on this job actually takes more out of me than I had anticipated and I'm only week two. However, it is an accomplishment that I'm proud of and I hope that this enables me to open up more doors to do things even more outside of myself.
I just switched out my winter/summer clothes.
(Not something I thought I would never do--just took me about a week to get "tuit"!)
Congratulations! You should have a good sense of accomplishment there.
LOL! Wow, and here I was excited that my broadband was down this morning and I got it back up all by myself! :)
Good job! Making and staying on a budget is tough! You got this! I need to do a budget also, but just when I think we can get out of our "hole", some extra $700 gets spent on things we didn't plan on every month! :( One of these days.
I could quote Azrieling word for word and it would be my life too! The divorce date is June 10th. YAY!
I also finally bit the bullet and am taking care of ME. I had surgery last week to extract two broken teeth and put in bone grafts in preparation for implants. Painful and expensive, but had been put off for 4 years and it was now or never. Scary, but I made it.
I signed up for an online business accounting course so I can understand my bookkeeping better. It's been a long time coming!
This month, my husband and I made the final payment on debt that was close to $30k.
It took close to 5 years to pay off. I am very proud of us!
