I'm looking everywhere online and it only says what NOT to eat.. i also hear wheezing and heavy breathing from my son.. is that an allergic reaction or its specifically from the reflux? So if i avoid dairy and nuts and things that cause gas..what can i eat?? Please help...

What can I do next?

Have you determined if those things actually bother him? My reflux guy was very sensitive to my consumption of cows milk, but he was fine if I had nuts, eggs, soy, etc.

So, I ate cereal with rice milk (I don't like soy milk), oatmeal with a little brown sugar, or eggs for breakfast. For other meals I ate grilled protein (chicken, steak, salmon) and veggies. Chinese food in general was fine. I found a milk-free brand of bread and had normal sandwiches (lunchmeat but no cheese). Tacos (ground beef and salsa on a corn tortilla but no cheese or sour cream ). Chicken noodle soup (or any non-cream based soup).

Good luck. Reflux is so hard.

ETA: Oh, I missed the wheezing part. Definitely talk to your pediatrician about that. My child who had severe reflux and milk intolerance did not wheeze.

Oatmeal is pretty good.
I don't think potatoes will do any harm either.
You might want to talk about this with a lactation consultant - our pediatricians office had one on staff that we could call just about anytime.
You have regular well baby checkups every few weeks at this age so it's good to write down your questions so you remember to ask at your next appointment.

chicken, rice, oatmeal, water, juices, fruits. veggies (but not the gas causeres like broccoli or brussles sprouts). kellymom . com is a great resource for the breast feeding mother.
as for the wheezing and heavy breathing i would take the child to the pedi. thats not usually connected to reflux. and dr needs to evaluate the child to find its cause.

My little one was in the same way and was diagnosed with gas and silent reflux as well. Gas drops and gripe water weren't working so far. I got recommendation about babies magic tea form our pedi and it pretty much working.

Unless you notice a particular pattern, I wouldn't worry about it. If you really think it matters, keep a log of what you eat. If you notice the reflux being better or worse, make a note of what you recently ate. Try those foods again and see if you see the same reaction.

I only know one mom that ever had a food she couldn't eat, and it took her a few tries to be sure. Almost every mom I know never noticed their baby having any trouble. My son had reflux, and nothing I ate or drank seemed to make a difference.

Every baby is different, so I wouldn't eliminate anything from your diet unless you notice it making a difference.
