If you're going for the country look, then possibly a grey-blue rustic cabinet? And maybe a milky white for the trim?
hi moms im remodeling my home and i painted my kitchen walls a sun flower yellow looks really cute and country:) having a hard time on the cabints the was already painted white and i really dont care for white so what colors would look cute for the trim and cabints? info would be great:)

The dark chocolate color would go well with the sunflower yellow. . . kind of like the eye of the flower!!
I L. blue and yellow together. My grandmas kitchen is yellow with blue cabinets :)
My vote is a dark brown or black. Bright yellow reminds me of sunflowers and the dark contrast is beautiful.
I would shy away from the suggestions to put any reds and blues with it.
Even a rust red and dark blue will scream primary colors (think, preschool toys)
If you don't like the dark contrast and prefer a bright, sunny room, I would go for a citrus green, not too grassy for the trim and maybe as an accent on the (white) cabinets without painting the whole thing. It there a recessed groove that could be painted as an accents on the cabinet doors? a fun lime handle or drawer pull?
Very Dark Chocolate maybe even the rustic brown/black look. Good luck deciding.
You could do a cobalt blue or a cheery red, or even a fun lime green. Yellow is like a neutral - so easy to work with!
If you are going for a country look, hues of blues would be the way to go. Think the shade of blue you would find in a gingham print. French blue or cornflower blue would work as well. Check that the tonal quality(vibrancy) of whatever color you choose is in the same family as the yellow on the walls. This makes it easier on the eyes. If you want the tones to pop go lighter or darker in your tones.
I wish I could see it for myself, I L. pretty kitchens and my mom's favorite color is yellow.
I was going to say dark brown too. :) (or chocolate, lol)
For the cabinets, I would paint the trim of them brown and the 'middle' the same yellow.
I was going to suggest Guacamole Green like another person did. That is the actual name of the color if you get it at Lowes. They used to have a kitchen sample card with yellow walls, green cabinets, and wooden knobs and pulls. Now, if you are looking to resell anytime soon, you might choose something a little less bold. We have the green cabinets and some people loved them and some people didn't. You could always have them sanded and stained. That would look really nice too. I have a friend that is having that done to her cabinets and it is looking great so far!! I can get you the info on the person that is doing it for her. He was actually pretty reasonable.
Barn red, kind of a dark red. I have that color on my walls in my kitchen and L. it. Dark chocolate brown like others have mentioned would look good too.
I really L. a cornflower blue with yellow - I think it's just a beautiful match. If the shade of yellow you have isn't the right hue exactly for cornflowerblue, play around with other light to medium blue shades with paint chip cards from someplace like Home Depot or Lowes and just hold them up to see what matches best - be sure to test them in the daylight. You might want to try some light neutral shades too for trim. I think it would look cool if you did a backsplash with small tiles of different shades of blue with a little of yellow tiles thrown I
n too - just an idea :) Good luck!
In our old house I painted mine Guac Green, I totally L. the country look and this was amazing.
Deep red, I used the yellow in my last house.
Also a meadow/moss/sage green looks good, used that too. But not for cabinets. That was my kitchen wall color, the yellow was my dining room.
without seeing your kitchen it is hard to say... but I think that turquoise, navy blue or a rust red would look good. (though not necessarily together LOL)
you could also do "grass green"- or sage green. It really all depends on your kitchen. bright, warm, vibrant colors will usually make a room more energetic... cool colors (blues, greens, violets) will make it more calm and "zen"... light colors will make the room seem bigger, dark colors will make it seem smaller and cozier. Neutral colors- browns, tans, grays are the most versatile, but are also the "safest" picks.
If it were MY kitchen, (sight unseen) I would paint the cabinets blue with a aged "crackle" finish, and have deep rust red accents.
I would draw from the same color scheme as Van Gogh's "Red Vineyard at Arles:

Good Luck!

Dark blue would look great!
Deep (like a brick) red.
I agree with the dark chocolate color.
