Without prompting them, what do your kids say when you ask what they are thankful for?

I asked my 6 year old today what he was thankful for, and he said immediately "tomatoes!" LOL

Of course after we went through a few more vegetables, he got to the people and things he is thankful for.

To be 6! What would your kids say?

What can I do next?

My kids brought home an activity they did at school today and it said: I am thankful for __________ because_____________. They both wrote: mom, because she makes us warm breakfast in the morning. :) This morning we had crock pot steel cut oats with fresh raspberries and cream. They love it!

My 4 year old's blankie is her very best friend. So, of course that's the first thing she said. One of my daycare kids told me that she is thankful for sculptures and another one said Plankton. Lol. Happy Thanksgiving!

My daughter is 4 (5 in less than two weeks). Her Pre-K class had a Thanksgiving Prayer Service and Performance on Monday. Her headband said she was thankful for "My Michael"...that is what she calls her big brother (20 years old) when she isn't calling him "Baby Boy". When she had to say what she was thankful for it was "My Daddy". So sweet!

We did an activiy about thankfulness today while foodwas getting ready.. my 6.5 yr old girl really surprised me... She said she's veryyyy very thankful for a home(we just moved in a week ago after a long search over the summer!), thankful that she knew her gramma/oma Lauretta(she passed when daughter was 3.5) & thankful that oma's in heaven watching over her(which made me cry), thankful daddy has a job so we can buy groceries, especially the junk food kind(hahaha), and thankful that we took out the "right" boxes out of storage because they were the ones with her clothes and toys.

Out of the mouth of babes! God Bless all you mama's out there (and your babes) and I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We absolutely did!!

Updated

I answered earlier about my 4 year old (riding his bike) and had to ask the 6 year old when he woke up. I'm almost embarrased to tell you what he said! He said he's thankful that he's cute and presents! I think I may need to work on things a little! Yikes! lol
