Below I will post a letter we wrote to our friends and family and acquaintances. We are so very thankful for so many things, especially this year. Our youngest daughter was diagnosed with cancer on Feb. 29, 2008. We have seen the incredible support of so many this year. We are genuinely thankful for everyone that has touched our lives. As a matter of a fact, through Mamasource, I connected with another family that their daughter was diagnosed with the same cancer, on the same day as our little girl......
The Thanksgiving Holiday always reminds us to be thankful for so many things. This year Thanksgiving brings such an overwhelming feeling of thankfulness to our family. First and foremost we are thankful for God and for all He is doing in our lives. It is incredible the experiences we have shared this year and we have made it through with His strength to guide us. There is no doubt that He has carried us through this journey, one step at a time, one day at a time.
We want all of you to know how very thankful we are for each of you and for everything each and every one of you has done for our family this year.
We have lost track of how many thank you notes we are behind in writing. It has all been such an overwhelming process and we just have not found time to do all of the things we have wanted to do, over this past 9 months especially. We are forever grateful for all the meals, help entertaining Serena, shoulders to cry on, working extra hours, gifts, cards, packages, hospital visits, pictures, rides, continued business partnerships, encouraging words, wearing gold ribbons to create awareness of childhood cancer, financial assistance, contributing and participating in events that help kids and their families get through such a terrible life threatening illness and also especially your thoughts and prayers for our family. We will be forever grateful and ready to help if you ever need us for anything. We are so fortunate to be surrounded by an incredible, generous, loving group of people. For that, we are THANKFUL!
Sevanah continues to heal and feel good most days. We are asking for your continued thoughts and prayers to keep the cancer away and ease our minds as we move forward, beyond cancer. May you all have the most wonderful, blessed Thanksgiving—We all have so much to be thankful for! Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year too!
