I knew of some brothers named Blaze and Blade at one time, but I always thought that was a little overly dramatic for a name... I love "boy" names for girls and seriously considered naming my daughter either Dylan or Kyle... Then I ended up marrying a Kyle, so I'm glad I didn't. :) Piper is an adorable name for a little girl, too. For some reason my dad seems to think Peekaboo is the best girl name in the world. Haha!

Here are some names that my husband wants to use, but I don't, because they are a little too different for my tastes: Moshe, Yael, and Ariel.

Some names that I like that my husband says no: Raven, Kaylie, Jessica, Rachael, Ryan, Matthew, Nathan, Bevan.

Some unisex names that I have considered are Jordan, Jesse/Jessi, Cory, Lee/Leigh, Aaron/Erin.

During my pregnancy I brought up so many names to my husband that he hated. I wanted something different that not everyone else had. For a girl a few that I liked were Bianca, Madeline, Ashton, and my favorite was Tristan. For a boy a few that I liked were Aidan, Elijah, Ethan, and my favorite was Roman. My favorites Tristan and Roman were the ones that my husband hated the most! We ended up w/a boy and named him Bryce which my husband picked out. I had never heard that before and really liked it.

When we first found out that we were pregnant with baby #3
(due in 5 weeeks) we each picked out our names that we liked. My favorite girl name was Kennedy. He said no and we actully found another name that we both really liked...but here we are a few weeks away from our due date and our name is Kennedy. I guess that you have to just keep it in the back of your mind all the time. Here are my girls names.... Lauren Ashleigh, Taylor Anne, and soon to be Kennedy Marie.

Girl Names: Krecia, Cierra RyAnne, Rajiha, Miya Destiny (Get it?), i also love the Gem names, Ruby, Diamond, Sapphire and even Gem, My husband likes Chryslyn Rose and I love Scarlett Rose
Boy Names: Brock, Brody
Unisex: Rice

After I had my first two I realized that we got stuck on "Br". Brandon and Brett so when we had our third boy it was Bryce to keep with the theme. If we have another one we will go with Brock and for a girl...I can't say because I have never seen anyone else named this so i want my daughter to be the first.

There are many unique names in Hollywood, it seems. Apple, Coco, Hazel, Siloh, and so many more. I personally am not fond of different names, as mine is L. and is pronounced Lee, no one seems to get it right, which use to bother me when I was younger. Yes I have grown up finally and realize it doesnt matter, but it was very hard on me because no one said my name right. What can I say, I was a kid! ;) I have a friend who named one of her boys Denver. Good Luck with #2!

When I was checking out baby names for my son some of the ones I liked that my hubby hated were:- Jet-girl or boy, Dante-boy, Nolan-boy. I love short names, my son is Liam and my daughter is Jade. One of the other ladies said Balthazar which I love! Also, one of my favorite actors is Morgan Freeman, which you don't hear too many guys with that name, mostly girls but I think thats great for a boy.

With our daughter, when we found out we were having a girl, I wanted to name her Siobhan (pronounced Shavaun) Keely. My husband had an ugly reaction to that name, so we settled on Aidan, just in case she turned out to be a he. At the time we thought Aidan was a good unique name, until it topped the top names (#1 position) for boys that year. If you looking for unique names, I suggest ethnic names. We chose to go with Gaelic/Irish names for our children. I am psrtly Scottish and my husband is 1/4 Irish and we live in a strongly Irish town. Tere are alot of baby name resources out there if you are looking for unique names, but I suggest that you stick to ones that the child will be able to spell at a young age and won't get mispronounced too often. Just my two cents.
