Need Boy Name Suggestions...Please!

I know that you said no N's, but for some reason that is all that is in my head. These are some of the ones that we considered - but had a girl.

Kellen, Declan, Finn (Finnigan for a full name), Liam (can use William for a full name).

Thought of some others - Cedric, Seamus, Ethan, Clifford, Martin, Henry, Frederick.

I don't know what you decided for a girl, but Gillian is a nice English name. Pronounced Jillian....but I am a bit biased. :)

I had an 'Ah HA' moment with the name Brett. I don't know any other Bretts, and it's a good strong name. I loved it.... you might too??

There is a little boy in my daughter's preschool class named August and they call him Gus. He is the cutest thing!

My son is Grant. We don't know any other Grant's. Owen, Bryn and Grant sounds good! Grant is scottish for Great.

I just read a book where one of the characters was Scottish and his name was Jeremiah.

Personally I have always loved Aidan (Aiden) & would have used it but my sister got to it first. Brendan, Caine & Bryant are good strong Irish names too.

Hi there, I posted a similar request a few weeks ago and got 40 responses (see link below). My naming parameters were different from yours, but you still might see something you like in the responses I got. I agree, boys names are hard! I'm so indecisive, I've only narrowed down our boy and girl lists to about 4-5 each and now am just waiting to see what this baby looks like before picking. Good luck!

I'm also trying to come up with a boy name for my #2 (i do know that it is a boy). My first son is named Declan James. I know you said you didn't want ending in "n" but it is a strong Irish name. I had only known one Declan (an adult) when we had our son 2 years ago. I have heard of a few more Declans since having ours, but I think it's still unique enough that you won't have 3 in the kid's class (as least I hope not!).

How about Lincoln, that was one of my choices.
My oldest is Finn (he is 4 so we choose he name BEFORE the show Glee) Now I am horrified there will be Finn's everywhere, but I love the name. Another name I like is Gunner, a boy in Finn's class has that name and at first I was like what is his name? But it has really grown on me.
I also love David, I think it is a strong nice name. I also Patrick which goes very nicely with Owen...

We have a boy (chase) and a girl (sierra), now if sierra would have been a boy we would have used the name Easton. I love that name. It is not common but not to unique either. Good luck! Boys names are so hard.

I love the name Wyatt. I was going to name my son that but the last name was wall and that was setting him up to have jokes made. I'm not sure were Wyatt is from but it flows with your other names, I think so anyway! Congratulations on your new one and best of luck with finding the perfect name!

I like the Grant suggestion. However, one name I haven't seen listed yet, and a personal favorite of mine is Evan.

On a side note - stay away from Noah and Finn - Glee fans will pick those names out in a second! I don't think trendy names are a good idea, like in recent years how Edward and Bella have suddenly become popular baby names, lol!

My son is Merwan. Not common at all. It's a Briton name, so Celtic also (like Welsh, Irish...).
It's the 12 century equivalent of Morgan and means "bright lake" or "wizard of the lake", from the fairy Morganna/Merwanna in the king's Arthur's legend.

You know, my theory is that the next super cool names will come from the not-too-distant past. Names of 50's kids (Susan, Betty, Judith, Carol, Joan, etc.) or 70's kids (Julie, Lisa, Andrea, Jennifer, Nicole, Heather, Melissa, Kimberly, Kelly, etc.). So you could consider those names. Seriously, nobody names their child Carol or Lisa anymore; your daughter could be unique!

But you want British names like Owen and Bryn.....what about Poppy, Julia, Charlotte, Imogen, Anne, Constance.....

Oops! I just re-read your request and you want BOY names! Okay, from the 50's: David, Charles, Richard, Paul. From the 70's: Reuben, Patrick, Shawn, Michael, Brian.

And what you really want: British names -- Aaron, Dominic, Callum, Declan, Toby, Reece/Rhys.
