Wet Towels and Bath Suits

Suits should be rinsed out first so you can get rid of some of the chlorine. Then hang over the shower rod if nowhere else. I have my girls put theirs outside on the line or over a chair. If it is bad out, they put them on the line in the basement. It is a good idea to have 2 suits so there is drying time also, and they don't get worn out too fast.

I have one of those wooden drying racks that collapses up and down when needed for use. That is what I use. I can sit it outside if the sun is still out for drying or inside. But usually I just throw all towels and suits in the wash. I then dry the towels and hang the suits on the drying rack.

Buy a spare shower curtain rod, and hang it over the tub...easy and cheap!

We all have two swim suits each, so we can use them every other day.

If not raining outside the towels and swimsuits are hung outside on the fence or a clothes line (or even over an outside chair works). If rainy I usually hang them in the bathroom over towel racks, shower rod and side of the tub. I also try to remember to flip them to make sure they get rally dry.

We swim every day too and have an ever present amount of towels and bathsuits on our fence waiting to dry. If its raining outside, just hang them in the bathroom on the towel rod. However, as one other mom suggested, have a 2nd bathing suit on hand so that you can swap them out every other day. This way, the kids won't have to put on a damp suit, which can lead to yeast infections in girls and I think jock itch in boys.

I do the same thing. Rinse our suits out, hang everything up outside on my patio furniture and privacy wall. The sun usually does the job. Then I wash the towels after a few days. Enjoy the pool!

I hang ours outside. The sun gets them warm and dry and gets rid of some of that chlorine smell.

We just toss ours over the shower curtain rod... they just drip dry. If you live in an apartment with a patio, you could hang a line out there, use one of those foldable clothes racks or even just drale them over a chair if one is out there.

We don't have laws against them in Texas (at least not in San Antonio). I personally don't have one simply because I'm too lazy to take the clothes outside :)

We hang ours on the side of the bathtub.

If you can string a line outside, that is the easiest solution. Have the kids take a quicky shower while in their suit...it will wash out the gunk from the pool, and protect their skin and hair. Then just hang the suits and towels outside. Inside on the shower or tub work too. Rotate through the towels if you can, just as you have been reccomended to do with the suits. We used to swim everyday...so much so, we finally put up an outdoor shower and towel bars...My 93 year old grandmother uses the shower year round as her regular bathing place...snow or shine. ;)

We have an iron fence in our back yard around our pool and we hang them there until they are used the next day or until I do the wash!

I know you can also buy outside towel holders from a pool supply store.

My mother hung a clothes line in her bath tub. She got hanging clothes line pins and whenever she does her laundry she hangs stuff in there to dry. That way the drippings go down the drain and not all over your bathroom floor. Hope this helps.

I hang my towels over my patio chairs in the sun or over my dining room chairs. Swimsuits I hand either on doorknobs or hangers on the shower rod or outside.

I have a large wooden drying rack that I put outside on the patio for everything to dry. I also use this when I have delicates that can't go in the dryer. It folds up and fits behind the door to the laundry room.

After dipping into the pool, we shower with our suits on to rinse them out, take them off, finish showering, finish rinsing out the suits and hang over the shower rod or tub. The towels are hung over the shower rod, the bathroom door, and when we had one, the line in the garage strung between the garage door rails, at the very end. Yes, we look like a Chinese laundry, but it is summer and a time to relax. Enjoy:)

We usually hang ours over our front yard swing and sitting chairs and sometimes in the trees over the branches! lol!

I got tired of the never-ending pile of towels, used once, then dumped on the bathroom floor.

Easy to find at Target/Walmart, I purchased a couple of over-the-door hangers, typically used for towels, robes, etc.

I hung them over the door in my master bathroom, so when we come in from the pool, I hang the towels up, and the bathing suits over the towels, so soak up any excess water in the suits.

Do you not have an outdoor clothes line? I would be absolutely lost without mine. I don't know if in Texas you have laws that do not allow outdoor lines. I am from Canada and when the weather permits I hang laundry out to dry. Much cheaper than the hydro used with a dryer.
