My obgyn said that i might have PCOS ( still " might", I have to do pelvic ultrasound and blood work to know for sure). However, my Google search said that PCOS cause acne and weight gain. No wonder I am now 152 lbs, I used to be 110 lbs.
My friend told me she use Herbalife and it works. Anyone tried this before? Or any other weight loss supplements?
It is really hard to lose weight for me. But I heard losing weight will help to cure PCOS.
I drink Bragg acv, but I heard it is not good for long term use. It works though. Thanks!

What can I do next?

As I said in another thread:

Garfield the Cat has it right, http://www.gocomics.com/garfield/1978/08/30 Diet is "die" with a "t".

Small portions over the day, brisk light exercises, like a five minute walk after meals, or light yoga.

These two combined will help your metabolism more effectively convert your food intake to muscle. Weight is not always a bad thing. In fact, it's a known fact that muscle is denser, therefore it weighs more than fat. You can be technically overweight, yet toned, fit, and very healthy.

According to BMI, I'm overweight, but I have more muscle, so yeeeeah, no. I'm told for my height, I should weigh 118. When I was 118, I was very unhealthily thin, got sick frequently, and nothing ever fit right.

I weigh between 145-155, and have only my stomach area which is a problem(considering the issues I had while pregnant, I may never be able to fix that barring surgical means, but doesn't mean I won't try) left to fix.

No weight loss supplement will ever work if you don't fix the underlying issues. Portion control and light structured exercise.

Just my 2cp.

Forget the supplements. Eat right and go walking every day. That's all you need to do. Walk, walk, walk.

My brother lost weight using Herbal Life. I don't know exactly how he did it. I don't think he took anything that was labeled weight loss pills. He took a variety of vitamin and mineral supplements and reduced his portion sizes.

I have a friend who used Herbal Life Weight Loss supplements or something that was labeled as an aid in losing weight. She lost lots of weight which she put back on when she stopped using the supplement. She used it again and lost weight. Put it back on. I don't know how many times she did that. She says she can no longer lose weight because it messed up her body.

My daughter has lost weight using Weight Watchers. It's a plan that helps you control what you eat and portion sizes. It encourages you to exercise. Take a look at it online to see if this might work better for you.

Weight loss supplement = eat fewer calories each day + exercise.

Nothing else you could possibly do will last.

Beware the responses below...losing more than 1-2lbs/week is indicative of water weight loss. Translation...you'll put it right back on.
1-2lbs/week is supportive of fat loss at a healthy rate. The human body is simply incapable of shrinking (becuase you don't lose your fat cells without surgery) FAT faster than that.
Any other weight loss at a faster rate is simply toxins or water. Both of which...unless you change your eating habits...will come right back as soon as you stop whatever supplement or extreme your trying.

Sorry to bear the bad news. Good luck.

Have you tried the products from It Works? I did a body wrap and lost 7 inches and 5 lbs in 3 days. It is a detoxing wrap that pulls toxins out of the fat cells, shrinks the fat cells and you are left with a smaller area. The nice thing is that you can use a wrap on any part of the body that needs to be tightened, toned, or firmed. There are also supplements that are great. I like the Greens which is 38 herbs and is equal to having 8 servings of fruit/veggies. The greens are also packed with probiotics. They have really helped me in feeling better, having more energy, and knowing that my body is getting the nutrition it needs. The Greens also detoxify and alkalize the body and when a body is ph correct it can fight off illness and disease much better. I also Love the Fat Fighter to pull 1/3 bad fats/oils from a meal and block 70% of carbs from getting absorbed into the body. I also use the Thermofit which is a weight loss supplement using the Acai berry for antioxidants and a blend of red hot pepper to speed up metabolic rates, curb appitite, and burn calories. If you are interested in learning more about these great products you can look at this website. http://mholland.myitworks.com
Hope this helped.

Be very careful with weight loss supplements. The supplement industry is not well regulated and there are a lot of companies that follow fads, putting stuff in there that isn't safe or proven. Also, many are heavily caffeine-based - and you only have to look at all the recent deaths from the high caffeine energy drinks to know that's a problem.

I'd look at supplementation more to work on your PCOS - it is possible to restore the balance in your body. If you can regulate that, the weight loss will probably follow. Of course you need to look at diet and exercise as well.

There is a great supplement program I work with, and I know a lot of people who have had results with PCOS as well as other chemical and hormonal issues. One friend was told her PCOS would keep her from having children. She's now on her 3rd baby and is elated. This same program has an additional weight loss option but it's done sensibly. Even if you don't actually have PCOS, restoring the balance in your body is a great goal, and you'll have more energy to work out and you'll probably have fewer cravings, all of which help weight issues.

You have to look at the actual credentials of the company, safety inspections, and so on.

In general, going for a single nutrient is a bad idea - there's no magic herb or vitamin to help these issues. A comprehensive formula makes more sense and is generally better metabolized.
