i was thinking about the fan misters, are those pretty durable?

I also saw Cool towels or something i think they were an As Seen on Tv item. i guess you wet them and they cool your neck.
Does anyone know if those work well? can kids use them?

Any other good ideas for walking around in 90 degree heat?

What can I do next?

Just grin and bear it and you sweat off 10 lbs lol. All the lines have misting fans so you don't die while waiting. Go to parks early, swim in the afternoon and go back. It is hot. There is no getti g around it and no real way to stay cool all the time.

Those "dri-fit" type clothing wicks away sweat and dries fast and is breathable.
Athletes wear them.

Yes, water misters help.
And the neck cool towels.
Anyone can use them.
But it is extra things to carry around....
You don't need those fancy fan/water misters. Just get a smallish water spray bottle. And the natural air around you will blow on you and cool you down as you mist yourself.

Hats.
Sunscreen
And water bottles to drink from, because of the heat dehydration can occur.

Take the rides that get you wet during the hottest part of the day.

Walmart sells a water bottle for 99 cents that has a mouth that is as big as the ice chutes at soda machines. They have a cap and strap that makes it easy to attach to a belt with a carabineer. I wrapped some insulation foam around it and it worked fine. Walmart also has some $5 to $10 bottles that aren't as functional.

Take a cotton hand towel so you can moisten it and cool off that way.

And like others have said swim during the hottest part of the day. Take advantage of the "Fast-track" ticket system. They worked well for us.

Good luck to you and yours.

When I take the kids to the carnival for the day I pack frozen water bottles into a back pack that I carry around while the kids are on rides. It keeps me nice and cool, and the kids have cold water to drink.

Wear light, cool cotton clothing and sun visors (not hats; too hot on the noggin). Pirates of Caribbean is a long, cool ride to take a breather from the heat. Splash Mountain is a nice cool off, too; yes, you will get mildly wet. Have fun!

Wear white cotton or pastels. Dark clothing really absorbs the sunlight.

All the food vendors will give you a cup of tap water for free. Drink, drink, drink.

Every time you see a washroom, stop and wash your faces and arms.

Honestly, I don't think you can beat the Mickey ice cream shaped bars or frozen bananas!

Never give in to the temptation to stay in the middle of the day. Not worth it. Just awful. Go rest in the pool or an air-conditioned room. Have a wonderful time!

Go really early in the AM. Be waiting to get in. The crowds will be thinner and the temp will be a bit cooler. Then, at the hottest part of the day, go back to your hotel and take a swim. Take a nap in the hotel and go back for more at night.

I give you credit for going in June. It's gonna be hot... but fun!

I bought one of those cooling towels. I think it's total junk. You'd get the same result with any wet cloth when you shake it in the air. It only stays cool for 1 second.

We always go back to the hotel for lunch to cool off for a bit and try to do afternoon shows that offer the a/c. Most of our walking around the park was before lunch and around dinner time. The afternoon is a great time to kick it at the local pool or for a quick shower to refresh and a nap.

I'm going to Mexico in July so I'll be watching this post!
I bought some of those cool bandanas at the Five Below shop, for about 3$ and the one I activated is very cool! I bought teeny tiny spray bottles for 1$
I'm bringing powdered gatorade to add to water bottles, my son will drink it less than full strength, my mom adds a little to ice tea as a sweetner and says it gives them extra pep on hot days.

Those cool towels actually work really well. I think you'd be fine with fan misters though.

The misting fans are nice. Other than that, it's just easier to go in cool rides, eat strategically, get to parades early enough to get a shady spot, etc.

It's not just that it is hot here it's the humidity. We have several of the misting fans and they are great. I would recommend taking breaks now and then to rest in the shade or cool off inside one of the restaurants. Make sure to wear light colored clothes, cotton or breathable fabrics.

Other than that it is just hot here in the summer months and it is also the rainy season (usually in the afternoons). There is a new area in Magic Kingdom that has water play park near the new Dumbo ride. Bring the kids swim suits and they can cool off there and change in the bathroom. I know Universal (both parks) also has areas like this too. I think most of the parks have little areas like that to cool down.

During the summer when we take my toddler for walks, we carry a small spray bottle of water. Ever so often, he gets a mist anywhere/everywhere from head to toe. He also drinks plenty water.
