T., I have a safe and effecive product that will help you loose weight/pooch. I have flat tammy after so many years and my daughter is now 16 years. Let me know if you are still looking and I will be happy to share.
Okay ladies. I know we have all tried just about every diet known to man in order to lose the baby pooch. My daughter is almost 5 and I still look pregnant. How can I lose that stubborn belly fat without having to buy some high priced ab contraption? Please HELP!

Weight Watchers...Serioulsy it helped me out soooo much! Right now they are having a 7 day free trial to see if you like it. You can do everything online if you don't have the time to go to meetings. The best part is you don't have to buy "special food" You buy everyday foods. You just learn what you should eat and how much!!! I know it doesn't sound like you can get good results from just doing this but trust me you will!!! I also work out at the gym just a few times a week doing a good cardio workout. You should just try the 7 day free trial. See if you like it then go from there. I hate to tell you but there is not a "quick" fix to getting it off unless you are a celebrity and have a personl trainer who works you out 2x day and a chef!!! :) Good luck!!!!
Tough one! I eliminated fast food and soda from my diet completely. I eat like my children - water and milk and hardly any sweets. The only missing thing right now is excersise. However, I have seen an improvement with just that simple change. I am going to start yoga as well which has worked for me before; really tones you up. Good luck!!
Cardio, cardio, cardio. And, oh yes, cardio!
It is elevating your heartbeat that is going to burn that extra fat. Don't bother with a "high priced ab contraption"!
Sure, working those muscles are important for three reasons:
1. After you lose the fat, your muscles will be toned and lookin' good!
2. If you work all of your "core" muscles, it helps to act as a girdle. (You still need to lose that fat though. You don't want all of that around your organs.)
3. The more muscle you have, the higher rate at which you will burn calories.
If you are new to cardio, I suggest Leslie Sansone. (You can even find her DVD's at Wal-Mart.) Heck, I even suggest Leslie if you are no stranger to cardio! She is great.
Remember to eat a healthy diet. Lean meats, fruits, veggies, WATER!
You already know the key to get this belly pooch off! Eat well, balanced exercise program (cardio, weight resistance, stretching), and rest.
eat foods high in fiber and exercise ..
Believe it or not just taking a good walk helps, also lay on the floor and do some knee to chest exercises, and then opposite knee to chest, or even do this standing. Ten a day even will start to help. Also use the small of your back as a blotter so to speak and do this standing up against a wall or laying flat on the floor. Flatten your back down against the floor or up against the wall and hold for 10 seconds, and release. Do this 10 times a day. Maybe eat a bit more protein, and be careful about fried stuff. But those three exercises should start to help if you are consistant, and they aren't hard.
I just wanted to encourage you. I have had 4 babies, 1st two vaginal deliveries with LOTS of weight gain and the 2nd two c-sections, again LOTS of weight gain. In January I started eating healthy (cut sodas, replaces with water and cut as much processed foods replacing with fresh where I could) I also started doing 1/2 hour of cardio 3x a week and a 1 hour weight/abs class at the YMCA 2x week. My cardio is now up to 45 min 3x week!
From talking to lots of other women I know that I will never completely loose my tummy "pouch" but I have dropped 2 pant sizes!!!! Alot depends on your skin type, some women just have more elasticity in their skin and can shrink back...others of us don't :-( BUT be encouraged that with diet and excercise you can lessen the tummy pouch!! Good luck!!
Just wanted to give you some words of encouragement! You can do it! lol Seriously though, cardio. We will never lose the fat if we don't do cardio. It stinks but that's the number one thing to do. I'm dealing with the same situation right now. I thought I would just bounce back to pre baby size 0 and look like Heidi Klum did-fat chance. No pun intended. haha Cardio is the best and only real way to get rid of fat. Of course the more muscle you have, the higher rate you can burn fat, but start with cardio. I personally like doing some sort of stair climber or step ups bc it works my legs and butt at the same time. But, good luck and you can do it!
I'm having the same problem. I have managed to lose 10 lbs in the last month but cutting out fast food and walking and hour 3 times a week. Exercise in any form will help you lose the fat. Abs machines will only sculpt the abs underneath the fat you must do some cardio or aerobic exercises to burn the fat. I got a step counter (there is an iPhone app if you have an iPhone) and I go to White Rock Lake at least 3 times a week. I walk for five miles and boom. I've had some success and I feel tons better.
Good luck!
T.,
Is it only a belly pooch? I believe the "baby fat" belly that many women think they have post- partum is actually abdominal bloating. This is usually caused by some digestive distress/inflammation. Yeast overgrowth is one thing to consider. Even if you don't feel symptoms of a vaginal yeast infection, you could have yeast overgrowth generally which is common after pregnancy. Do you crave sugar and carbs?
Other things also cause digestive distress and inflammation, such as food intolerances. Gluten is a big problem for many, as well as dairy. The stress of pregnancy can exacerbate these issues, so even if you have always done poorly with these foods, the inflammation increases during and following pregnancy.
Here is a lab that might help: www.enterolab.com. You can also google "candida albicans".
Healing involves eliminating the offending foods (sugar, gluten, dairy, etc), adding in a good probiotic (you can megadose on this at first to kick start the process of taking back your gut health), and if possible cleansing out toxins. Raw garlic, ginger, apple cider vinegar are all great detoxing items found at the local grocery store.
Good luck!
I am not going to claim that my belly is 100% flat but pilates has helped me SO much. I just do mat work in a class, I try to go twice a week but if not then at least once a week. There are some great dvd's out there too that you can try.
It only goes away if you do 3 things 1) the crunches we all hate (to tighten the muscles)- but you can't just do crunches alone- that doesn't work. You also must 2) do cardio about 3 times a week to burn the fat that has gathered there and finally 3) you have to cut out the transfats and eat fairly healthy to prevent any fat you eat from going straight back to the area you are working on. Doing all 3 of these steps will lead to success- leaving out any of them makes tight abs much less likely.
The ab machines won't work. It's all diet. The Clean eating diet by Tosca Reno. Read this book. it's the only thing that has worked for me.. I've tried everything!!
Increase your protein and cardio =).
I basically did what Erica C did: did away with all fast food, sweets, sodas but have also thrown in workout at least 3 times a week. I cook using extra virgin coconut oil if something needs to be sauted (sp?) and our veggies and meat are as chemical free as we can afford (organic produce, free-range/grass-fed meats). I started this back in January. It's made a dramatic difference in appearance not to mention my confidence. Some of the baby belly is still there but I gained a LOT of weight with our son who was 10lb 10oz at birth!
T.,
I have the same issue. Like everyone exercise is so important.
For me, I also have a lot bloating which makes me look bigger than I actually am. I went to the dr for the bloating issues and they diagnosed me with IBS. They put me on meds which were later recalled and no longer available.
The only other thing that worked for me is a 7 day cleanse and at least 1 protein shake a day. I get this products from my botanically based skin care, health and wellness company. The products have truly done wonders for me.
Please let me know if you'd like more information.
Take care and God bless!

Hi T.,
Quit the bread and pasta products. It will help alot!
Pilates that target your core worked well for me. Also cutting way back on breads and sweets. I was never really "fat," but that belly wouldn't go away because I didn't want to let go of my eating habits. When I started eating yogurt and fruit for breakfast (instead of pancakes or cinnamon rolls, for example) and making similar changes at lunch and dinner, that with the pilates, made a huge difference!
Hi T., I along with 3 other friends have the same issues and just ordered core 4 at www.caloriesprinkle.com My friend told me about it and she lost 22# in 30 days and went from size 12 to size 8. It cost $149 for the kit and natural. I though, I am trying it because i know 6 people who have lost 3-4 inches in the waist the first month. Depending on if you have 15 or 30 pounds you either order a 1 month or 2 month supply. Let me know if you want my friends phone number to call. Good Luck!
I definitely agree with all the advice you've received about diet and exercise. Of course you have to do those things to be in the best shape you can be in. However, I would also add to not expect that you'll necessarily be able to go back to the pre-baby stomach -- many people just don't, no matter how hard you work out. For most women, once those ab muscles (and skin) get stretched out, there is no going back to complete flatness without a tummy tuck! So don't be too hard on yourself.
ignore the gimmicks and pills, eat right, do cardio 4 days a week, tone 3 days a week....and yes eventually it works.
Cardio 4-5 times a week for 40 minutes a day. Don't bother spending a lot of money on anything.
Check for the DVD on the Tupler Technique called Lose Your Mummy Tummy. The pooch isn't necessarily fat, its a diastasis caused by pregnancy.
I am interested in your answers.

I use Advocare Products droped from a size 16/18 down to a size 8/10 and still working on losing a little more. The products are safe. Not only can you lose weight you can get life on your terms. The website is www.advocare.com/0402179. I love the products and the way I feel is awesome !!!!!!! With some exercise 3 to 4 time a week helps alot.
plain old sit ups and remembering to hold in your stomach through out the day will help a lot. I have a friend who does 100 sit ups every day- no matter what- even when she was pregnent- she has 4 kids now and a flat stomach. I do not have her disapline however, but I am working on it! I'm up to 20 before I can't move anymore! ha!

Try mummy magic weight-loss tea and you'll get your tummy fat just within weeks.
I look pregnant only when I eat gluten. It's in white and wheat flour. I didn't know I had an allergy to it until I was tested.
This post hits close to home! Cardio is SUPER important but 70% of weight loss and fat loss has to do with diet. Cut back on processed carbs and do cardio 4 times a week for at least 45 minutes, strength train at least 3 times a week and you should see results in a few months. good luck.
You have gotten lots of good advice here. The South Beach diet in particular is good with helping to cut belly fat. Get the book from the library and read it. It is a diet, but basically teaches you healthy eating habits and helps to cut items that lead to higher levels of belly fat. The first two weeks are the hardest....
