Wall-e and a Broken Heart....

So, my son is four, Autistic, and he loves Wall-e. It is an awesome flick. Sad they didn't market it like they did Cars. He's pretty obsessed with that darn robot.

We were cleaning out a box of misc toys and came across the head of a wind-up Wall-e that he broke two years ago. He is now going through all of his toys looking for the "body" saying "Wall-e. Wall-e...." It's breaking my heart. He doesn't have many words, and that was one of his first.

I've looked on Amazon and Ebay. I haven't been able to find a replacement. Anyone seen one and can point me in the right direction?

**** The toy was a gift from my Mom. It came with a little track and you could wind up Wall-e and he would move around the track. I have no idea where she got it and it was quite a while ago. I am looking to replace the entire toy. Though I must say a different part of my heart aches at the thought of paying more than $50 to do so. :-/

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Yep! That's it! I don't know why it didn't show up in my search. (Maybe I have some weird filter settings.) Thank you! We'll probably be ordering one soon and just hoping his sisters don't behead the poor little guy.

Many thanks!

I often thought, wouldn't marketing Wall-E like crazy... pretty much be the opposite of the movie's message? Anyways, my kids loved it too, and we had two Wall-E toys... both of them became headless.

Would your son accept a different Wall-E toy? There are tons out there.

Are you looking for a "replacement" part?
Or a replacement for the whole toy, ie: getting a whole other toy?

There are so many different Wall-e toys.
There is no way to tell, which one you have or what brand... because I don't think the head part, would have the toy brand on it?

Was it possibly a McDonald's toy? They have had those Wall-e toys too.
Do you know, where your son originally got that toy????

Maybe... just get your son, another Wall-e toy??? It not having to be the same exact one.
He may be happy just having a Wall-e toy?

My son loved Wall-e too when he was younger.
He even had a Wall-e t-shirt.

try etsy.com

I am not sure what toy you are referring to, but etsy does have some options.

My suggestion - buy two or three and keep the extras hidden.

Amazon.com has some choices - some a little expensive. I like the multi-piece diorama set. What did we do before the internet? Good luck!

You've gotten some great suggestions! As a back up in case the toys are discontinued and you can't get them, maybe a bed set would make him feel better. We got a Wall-E twin bed set not to long ago at Walmart and I think Amazon.com has some as well.
