Waging War Between My Head & Heart

I'm 37; married to a wonderful, understanding husband of almost 13 yrs; we have an almost 4yoDD and an 8moDS. I had some issues with both pregnancies towards the end,but nothing severe enough for my dr's to say, "we recommend you do not have anymore kids." they didn't discourage it at all in fact....and I asked 3 of them.
My DH is the biggest worrier on this planet...and while he thinks we should be "done" with having kids he's not completely closed to the idea of another, but is worried we'd be "pushing our luck"
I have always wanted 4 kids, but realistically think 3 is enough. Where the war between my head and heart is waging is my heart says I'm not finished and have more love to share... And I have these deep down feeling if something were to happen to one of the 2 we already have they would be all alone and I don't want that for my kids. My head says "Hubby is right, let's not push our luck." but I CRY at the thought if this being my last baby ALL THE TIME!

Anyone else going thru this or been thru this? How did/are you dealing with the emotions? Is it just my hormones?
Help! Please....

Thanks!
C

Yes, it's your hormones, but yes, you want another, and you can have one. Try to relax an get through this tough phase. I had my 3rd at 39. Hubs was NOT open to it, but it happened, and now all is well. Don't feel sad yet!

right there with you! I keep waiting for the "want" to go away...but my son is now 15 months old and it's there more often than not. (I had relatively easy pregnancies and deliveries...so for me, it's more logic and logistics and selfishness holding me back I guess).

My husband and I are one our 4th (1st boy!). We know we want to stop for a while if not for good. Our oldest just turned 5 this week, we have a barely 3yr old and a 15th mo and this little guy is due in May. We've been very lucky to have healthy babies and pregnancies. As I think of having more I'm also torn, I don't feel like I'm done but I know that at this point a 5th would be too much. Hang in there and pray about it if your religious, if not give it some time. You'll know what's right. Good luck.
