I was told that the biggest difference in the prescription was the iron levels. With that said, I do not know if a prenatal vitamin, or just a regular women's vitamin will benefit you more. You might even benefit more form taking a specific vitamin or supplement such as a B vitamin or C vitamin etc. I suggest going into a health food store and asking someone who is knowledgeable.

The reason why I am skeptical of prenatal vitamins being better for hair growth is because when you are pregnant, your hormone levels change (from pregnancy, not the vitamins) and that is the reason why many women get thicker/fuller faster growing hair and nails. Also, the hormones make you keep your hair longer, and then it falls out after you deliver. There is no connection to the vitamins.

With that said, the best way to get the vitamins into your body is to eat them. For example, if the employees at the health food store or nutrition store say that antioxidants will help with clearing your skin, then you can eat a lot of blueberries and cinnamon etc. Also, drink LOTS of water! Good luck with your hair and skin!

I spend the extra money on improving my diet instead.

If I were you, I'd run this question my my Dr. so you can find out if you are getting too much or too little of some vitamin or mineral.

Once you talk to your Dr., there are good resources at places like the Vitamin Shoppe and Whole Foods. Also eat healthy foods and you don't need supplements.

I don't know anything about Shaklee except that a lady pushed it really hard on me and I bought some type of vitamin drink (years ago) and I was sick for 3 days after ingesting it. She actually tried to tell me it was getting rid of my toxins, LOL. I FINALLY got my money back after going up the ladder to corporate.

Patty.. I am not talking about you.. You seem to be a very nice person and know your products. I am talking about a rep years ago in NC.

I agree with TF. Also, if you are of a certain age or have been pregnant, you might want to check your hormonal balance. Well, you might want to check that, anyway.

Research your vitamins. They are not all the same. I sell Shaklee and they are top of the line. I like them because I know they are pure and made in such a way to increase their absorption. Email me if you would like more info on Shaklee or go online and do research on any brand you are thinking of choosing. Pick a company that does testing and removes toxins, etc...
