Hi,
Can anyone recommend a video montitor that they love? I need one that does not have a ton of static and can work well in my home office around electronics....unlike the one I have currently.

I have the summer infant one and couldn't live w/o it. It doesn't get perfect reception, but I can see all I need to to feel ok about my babies being in their crib and safe.
In fact, I'm due in Jan, and I plan to get another one so I can toggle back and forth between channel A (one room) and channel B

I, too, have the "Summer Infant Handheld" video monitor and love it. I would definitely recommend it.
I jokingly consider myself an expert on this topic because I swear I have tried every video monitor on the market. The very best one, by far, is the summer handheld...you can buy it at babies r us. It gets great reception (very little static). Although the picture is not as clear as is advertised it works great. I could not have made it through the first year (in a two story house with my daughters bedroom upstairs while the master is down) without this monitor!
Hi K.,
We bought a video monitor by Summer. I bought it at the Rite Start store in Plano and I absolutely love it. It's a handheld device so it's not bulky and there's virtually no static with it even when it's sitting close to other electronic devices. The only issue we ran into with it was we had a cordless telephone that shared the same frequency and so both would make strange sounds if they were too close to one another. I have been very pleased with the picture quality too. Now that I'm so used to having the ability to see my baby I can't imagine not having it!
