I would like to get a baby video monitor for my 2nd child. We had a regular monitor the first time around and it worked great, but there were times I would love to have seen what my daughter was doing, and if I opened the door to go in and see, that would wake her or disturb her. So this time around I want a video monitor, but I would like your recommendations on which brand I should go with and any pros or cons to them. So please send me all your advice! We use the Summer Day & Night Handheld Video Monitor and love it! No interference from other monitors, phones, internet. They sell them at Babies R Us, Target and Wal-Mart.

We have the Summer hand held video monitor and it is awesome - we've had ours for 15months - no issues. We recommend it to everyone we know about to have a baby!
We've loved our Summer Infant, but it finally died after almost 4 years. I'm actually going to call and see if a new battery (already got one 6 mos ago, but will give it another try, because I think the charger was bad) and a new charger to see if I can bring it back to life. Will be cheaper than buying a new one and their customer service is good. May be getting another baby to use it with- yippee! I couldn't live without it, either, like the other moms.
We had the summer infant hand held video monitor. We loved it and used it for both our children. The only thing I would suggest is to get the extended warranty the first one we had broke after 6 months. We were glad we bought the warranty.
I agree with the others. We have been using our Summer monitor for 16 months now, and it is great. There is a bit of static at times, but not often. I love being able to check on my son without running upstairs several times a night. It is a bit pricey, but I feel well worth the money. I would definitely buy it again!
I have to second the Summer Infant Handheld Monitor. I couldn't have lived without it!
