That is awesome! Good for you :-) :-)
I wish I could go around commando, but years of wearing underwear won't allow me to! I think it would be fun to do it just because but I can't!
Woohoo!!!! My son has just decided today that he will wear underwear for the first time! I have to share that I am so excited for him. Those with kids with sensory issues will understand. This is big! He is 7 and a half and has always hated the feel of underwear along with many many other things. I have just let him go commando all these years and have not made a big deal of it. He was so proud he did a victory lap around the house in just his underwear this morning! I am so happy that he is outgrowing some of his sensory issues. He will finally wear pants with buttons and snaps for the first time this month too. Now if only we could get him over his aversion to food textures and different tastes. I guess there will always be something to work on. :) I just had to share.

Having had a child who went through OT for sensory issues as well, I salute you!! I didn't have the underwear issue, but I certainly understand! Whoo-hoo!!

WOOHOO!!!, congrats !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is so good to know he is making progress! I know it's a big thing. My grandson was like this when he was younger...but has overcome the majority of it now. Didn't like tags on his clothes, no decals on tshirts, socks had to be pushed down, only certain kind of shoes, clothes had to be soft and he didn't like feeling anything next to his body from his clothes, like buttons...elastic, seams. He said it felt like everything was tight. We didn't know what it was until he was in it full swing. But in time he overcame it...but it really took years...at least 3.
Awesome! I know you are thrilled and seeing some light down the tunnel!
Good for all of you! Woo Hoo!!!!
that is so great. just a suggestion for the food thing...my son has issues with food too. we went to camp for a week this last summer and i told him that i wanted him to try one new food that he had never tried before. he ended up trying a new food every day. maybe try to have him try a new food once a week or so!!! good luck on that!!!
