M.S.
My 4-four-year-old and I were in the early moments of a power struggle when she came up to me, sat on my lap, rubbed her hand against my face and said, "relax mom, relax. It's okay. Relax." A good reminder for us all. Have a great week!
The other day, my two-year-old and I were at a playgroup when a little girl hurt her nose!
During her meltdown, my daughter went up to her and said "make the tears go bye bye," which is the phrase I use when she is crying. Then my daughter hurt herself and the girl with the hurt nose went up to her and said "whatsa matter?" This was a phrase her mother used when she's upset!
So yes, we do have influence, even during the meltdowns.
So please do tell, what has your toddler done to pull your heartsrings lately?

What a great thing to think about!
When I put my two year old son to bed he says, "Thank you for the kisses, Mommy." It makes me melt!
Aw these are great.
My now 11 yo has always been super sensitive to others feelings. At 3ish a friend of his fell and scraped her knee pretty bad. He ran into the house. We thought he didn't ike the blood. But he came out with the bandaids and Neosporin to patch up his friend.
Not quite a toddler, but my 4 year old saw I was crying after reading a very touching post last week. SHe patted my cheek and told be to be happy.
They are so precious!
I was walking down the hall towards my son's classroom at daycare and there was a dad kneeling down to comfort his little son. My son walked over to the dad and patted his shoulder and said "he'll be ok, he'll be ok". Too cute and so sweet!
My 17 month old was playing with his baby glow worm. He pushed the button so it was making music, then he put the worm to his shoulder and started rocking it and patting its back, just like a little baby. It was very sweet!
What great stories!
I love when my son wakes up in the morning, comes in my room, stands over my bed, and says "good morning momma" He then lays down on daddy's side of the bed and says "can I hold you?" Of course I say yes, and he extends his little arm and tucks it under my neck, kisses me on my forehead and says "I love you"
He is oh so sweet. I just know he's gonna be a heartbreaker. He's just so full of love and affection.
