I had mine done in October and the cramps only lasted about a day and a half, and nothing unbearable. Good luck!
I was just wondering realistically, how long will I feel crampy from having my tubes clamped?

C.,
I'm assuming by your question you haven't had the procedure yet.
I just wanted to let you know, if you don't know already, about the Essure procedure ( http://essure.com/ ) as a sterilization option.
I've been looking into having this done myself. I thought about getting the Mirena IUD because I REALLY didn't want to get cut, but this seems like a much better option. There's no cutting involved, it's done during an office visit to your regular doctor, and downtime is counted in hours, not days. You can even watch what the doctor is doing on a monitor.
Anyhow, just thought I'd throw it out there. There are other options to tubal ligation. Check it out.
I didn't have problems at all - the day after I felt just fine.
Congrats on your babies!
Each person is different. It took me about 2 days to recover.Though I had soreness for a few days after that. Nothing too major. My co-worker had it done in the morning and was working from home that afternoon. Each person is different, and each proceedure is different.
I had mine done during my scheduled C-Section and I was back to work at 6 weeks with no problems. The scar was sore but no cramping to speak of. Went for the check up at 4 weeks following the delivery and was fine.
Took the percoset a couple days after the C-section and then I was fine with the occasional motrin.
I had mine done just after having my fourth about 20 months ago. It felt like I had had a mini c-section and the pain and cramping lasted about a week or two. I had to take Percocet for about 3 days, and I'm not usually a wimp about pain.
