Trying to Decide Between Bally's and the Luxor for Vegas Vacation

I am planning a first trip to Vegas for my hubby and I and have narrowed the hotels down to Bally's and the Luxor. The prices are nearly identical for a three night stay, but I am having trouble deciding which hotel would be the better choice. If any of you out there have experience with either (or both) of these hotels, I'd love to receive your input...many thanks in advance!

What can I do next?

Hi, I have never STAYED at either, but I used to live there and as I recall, luxor seemed to be more in the middle of all the action and Ballys seemed to be set back a bit further off the road adn seemed a little , looked over. Personally, my fave is the Venetian. Mandalay Bay and the Aladain are great too. I spent most of my time in these 3 even after I moved there full time. Not sure that helped. I might suggest taking a look at things you want to see and do adn see what makes more sense location wise, or what services are offered there at the hotel, like affordable dinning and go from there. Good luck, have a great time and DO NOT MISS the fountain show at the Belagio.

I don't know about Bally's, but we were just at Vegas with my brother and his partner who know a lot about the hotels. They both said that the Luxor has gone downhill the last few years. We got a good deal at Pallazo (with theater) tickets and it was one of the nicer and busier hotels on the strip. Hope this helps!

I stayed at the Luxor about six years ago and it was nice but I heard Bally's is better. Honestly, either hotel you choose will be good for the price. And you'll be walking around and going up and down the strip for most of your time anyways. I do know that the Luxor is at the further end of the strip next to Excalibur and Mandaley Bay so you would be walking a bit more. Good luck!
