Trying to Conceive Second Child

We had been trying since August- our first child was also a surprise. Well, to make a long story short, I just found I'm pregnant today! It'll happen! You already proved you could do it once! Most experts say not to worry until a year passes.

have you gotten an ovulation kit yet? I have had several friend use them- and they got pregnant a lot faster that way.

Three months of trying really isn't that long. I know it FEELS like a long time, but medically-speaking you haven't given things enough time to even consider a possible medical problem yet. If you're not already, I would recommend charting your temperatures and cervical mucus, there's a site to help you do that. I got pregnant with my second son the first try that way. I would imagine it's tough to time things with your husband gone 5 weeks at a time, but it can be done.

If after a year you haven't been able to conceive, your OBGYN will want to do a hormone level check, but before that point they won't do anything but tell you to keep trying.

I'm not sure if you have tried any of this, but I did and we were blessed with a second pregnancy right away. I went to an Ovulation Calculator online and found out my 2 most fertile days...on top of that I bought Clear Blue Easy Ovulation Strips (7 in a box) and I used those 2 days before the internet said I should be ovulating, and the 2 days during....the internet was right on point!
The main thing is to try not to get yourself stressed out about trying. You don't want it to become more of a chore, because that only prolongs everything. I have heard that it can take up to a year, so I would not be worried. If you have tried the test strips and go a few more months, you could talk to your Dr. and ask his/her opinion.

They usually say to talk to your doctor around the 7th month.
