We are currently trying for baby number 2. I was wondering if any one has any advice on things that you can do to increase your chances. We didn't even have to try for our first so this is all new to me. We tried last month but, no luck! We also only have a 3 month window where we can convieve because I am a teacher and have my summers off. Any advice at all would help, especially if its something you have had luck with!
I know of a Chiropracter that has experience in accupressure points and has successfully helped people who were trying and even failed with invetro get pregnant! She works wonders, and maybe she can for you, too!

Julia,
I'm also a teacher, and just conceived with baby #2, so I know how important it is to get the timing right! Figure out when you ovulate, which is going to be 1/2 way between your periods, when you're more likely to get pregnant, then shoot for those days. I've also read that some women ovulate again at the end of the month, just before they start their periods.
It took me exactly 2 cycles to conceive, and I too got pregnant the first time out with my first, so don't worry. I'm sure it will happen for you soon!

We got the digital ovulation monitor from clear blue easy. It is expensive but if you are having problems getting pregnant it really helps. We compared the prices of the disposable tests to this monitor and found we had already spent more than this monitor was priced at in the 12 months we tried to get pregnant. It digitally remembers your cycle and better helps pinpoint your fertile days, it helped us get pregnant.
If you Google it there are a lot of reviews on it and we just order our urine sticks for the monitor via a drugstore website because it's cheaper and a lot of stores don't carry a huge supply of them.
You can use the disposable ovulation sticks but there are not enough in any kit to successfully track your ovulation of you have any type if irregularity in your cycle. We tried the Basal Body Temp method as well and had no luck.
Good Luck!

Hi Julia -
I agree with Tiffany, try the Ovulation Preditors. I tried for several months to get pregnant thinking like normal people I was ovulating mid-month - Wrong! I used those things and found I was actully ovulating on the 8th day. Hey presto, I was pregnant the next month and now have a beautiful 9mth boy.
Buy a pack of OPK's at the drugstore(Ovulation Predictor Kits)I bought the store brand and saved money-- you pee on the stick like a PG test and it will tell you when you are most fertile-- very easy to use, you may need a 2nd box if your cycle is off or long-- worked for us both times on the 2nd month trying! Good luck!

We weren't so much trying when we got pregnant as we were "not preventing." Know your cycle. Know where your fertile days fall, relax, and have fun! Stressing about it reduces that chances of concieving. Good luck!

I went to babycenter.com. It has an ovul. calc. and that really helped. You just put in your period dates and it tells you when you are most likely to get pregnant. I also used the ovulation kits, which was helpful.
