Hello All - My hubby and I will be celebrating 10 years in May - I want to go to the U.S.Virgin Islands since I've never been anywhere like it. We travel to Florida and it's beautiful but I've never been "away". I know it's silly but I'd feel better in a U.S. Territory. Here are my questions - when do I book and with who? Never done this before...We like casinos, the beach, and chilling out (Ok - I have 2 kids and I don't know how to do that but I'm gonna try). And I love to eat....any help out there? Thanks!

EDIT - Sorry everyone - I meant no kids and it'll be about 4 nights - that way my parents get 2 days and his 2 days with the kids!

What can I do next?

You might look into a cruise. Cruises go to beaches, have casinos on board and serve food 24/7. Chilling out is mandatory.

Find an all inclusive that has a kids program - that way your family gets a vacation, the kids can go to the kids club some of the time, and you and hubby can enjoy the casinos and beach. Book as soon as you find a place you like. You can go through a travel agent or an online site.

What about a cruise?? They offer everything you mention, plus all cruise lines have kid programs, so your children can stay busy while you're hanging at the pool. You also will be able to visit various Caribbean stops in the US territories and others. The Caribbean is totally safe for travel. I'm doing 3 cruises in the next 3 months, all around the Caribbean. Happy travels!!

We went to Puerto Rico which is a US territory. Booked a flight online and got hotels through checking on tripadviser for good ones and booking direct. We travel a lot and we thought it was a good mix of US stuff and "abroad" stuff - quite a Latin American vibe rather than a Caribbean vibe. They have casinos in some hotels I think, as well as a rainforest for hiking, amazing forts and great beaches. Check your local library to get some books out and read up on where you want to go - travel guides often have good hotel recommendations and websites to try....have fun
