I work on a Halloween and am looking for the trick or treating experience with my kids. I already went to Brookfield Zoo and I am going to Blackberry farms. The malls by my house do not have hours that work for me. Any other ideas for trick or treating?
local churches always do a trunk or treat. maybe an option. They decorate the trunks and they go car to car in a parking lot. It is safe and secure and very fun
I would look online. I checked out my city's website, and found out that there is going to be a block party downtown from 5:00-10:00 on Halloween, with a trick or treat row. I'm looking forward to taking my DD there!
check your local firehouses, police stations, VFW or American Legion posts.... just a few!
This Saturday is "Boo-tiful" Saturday in downtown Elmhurst. They have a movie and magic show at the York Theater before "official" trick or treating starts...I'm sure you could find detailed info on the city web-site. It's tons of fun. Oh and I think they also do face painting, free pics at Walgreens and a dj by the fountain.

I believe that both Glen Ellyn and Elmhurst have trick or treating in their downtowns this weekend. Not sure if it is Sat. or Sun. but it is pretty fun!
